I use the smaller corded "Shop Vac's" with my saws as a simple dust collector. I will power the tool with a smaller power strip and have the vac come on when the saw does, it helps out a lot making cleanup a lot easier...

I used my Harbor Freight 10% coupon on a pair of the Daytona 3 ton steel jack stands this weekend. I know, congratulations to me right? Well, my comment isn't actually about the stands, even though they're definitely better than the old Pittsburgh stands. It's about what I saw in user manual when I opened the box. I don't care what color they are, black is fine with me and, that's all I've seen in stores/online so far. However, on page 2, right at the top, there's a chart listing 5 model #s, all starting with DJS3T but ending in BK, OR, Y, GR and BL which I assume means different colors are coming. More important to me at least is that there are also 5 different 6 ton (DJS6T..) and 1 12 ton listed (DJS12TBK). The 3 ton extends to 16 7/8", the 6 ton to 24" and the 12 ton to 30 1/8". I'm looking forward to the bigger ones when they come out.

I bought the Skil 12v set, the basic charger is really nice! My 12v set is great. You can really tell that the technology is Chervon, they scale the impact technology from Skil into Masterforce from Menard's in terms of the exterior.

Hey Red! I own one of those Toughbuilt miter saw stands. I’ve used it about a year. It is awesome. I’ve got a Hercules 12” slide compound miter saw mounted on it. Great combo, quick setup, quick breakdown, and easy to move around. Also, thanks to you, I just ordered a Ridgid jointer from Home Depot. Come to think of it, I think I bought that Hercules miter saw thanks to you also. You are an expensive bear to know! 😀

I got a “used” Craftsman 20v miter saw with 4Ah battery/charger for $171+tax on July3rd on Amazon. Got it on July5th. Brand spanking new just not in original box. Used it all day today cutting boards off pallets to build a tool box/chest. Also picked up a craftsman brushless drill 720d model(no hammer drill) with 2 batteries+charger normally $159 for $59 from Lowe’s clearance! It was the last set. I haven’t used the v20 craftsman in recent years besides the black decker matrixes, craftsman are so nice now that Lowe’s took over.

I got that tough built stand a month ago, it is the real deal. HD has it in stock to ship at the same price.

If anyone needs a great commercial quality pressure washer. Home Depot has the Simpson WB4200 Belt Driven (Honda GX390 w/ a AAA (Comet) pump) 4200 PSI, 4 GPM - pressure washer on sale for $1079. That’s a steal of a price considering the cheapest you can find them for is around $1500-1600+. That’s an insane deal for a belt driven washer (not your regular direct drive). Belt driven washers last you a lot longer, the pump is driven at half the direct drive rpm, the pump and engine aren’t mechanically linked so you’re not risking damage to one or the other if one component fails and seizes up. Belt driven is as good as it gets for pressure washer design. You’re also getting a great engine with the Honda GX390, parts are cheap and everywhere, and they last forever. The pump is also a top notch AAA triplex which is made by Comet, and they’re a top tier pump manufacturer (Along with CAT and General). If you’re in need of a pressure washer that can run all day everyday, jump on this while it’s still available, not sure how much longer this sale price will last.

My dad has that Toughbilt miter saw stand. It's great at moving and holding the saw steady, but the board support arms suck.

15:00 I had a derp moment. I was thinking I could just build a rack to hold lumber and design it any way I want. Then I remembered that steel is still way cheaper than lumber right now.

Bear, you need some tracking and ad blockers on your browser. Get uBlock Origin, Dissconnect, Decentraleyes, some other ones I am sure people can mention as well.

I bought the wisetool oscillating blades a few months ago and they’ve been great. The metal blade chewed through plenty of nails that I wasn’t able to get to with my sawzall and the blade’s still sharp as could be. They’re way better quality than the dewalt and ryobi blades I had in the past.

what's interesting, up here in canada that planner is 799$ regular priced at HD, with the US conversion right now, that one on sale was 740$... So didn't make much of a deal on our side of the border... I'll keep it on my radar this side of the border for sure though...

Toughbuilt has been expanding over the last 5 years something fierce. They are in Menard's very heavily in both ToughBuilt and Masterforce brands. In Lowe's they make several Kobalt offerings as well as their brand. I have had their pouches and bags over the years and they hold up really well.
