if i am a thief breaking in a home where the owner grabs a wig with a musket screaming "TALLY HO LADS" i would be out the window so fast

Fun fact: A weapon that uses any black powder is not considered a firearm in US Law. This includes flintlocks and cap and ball guns.

The funny part about this is not the joke it is that they actually intended for civilians to own artillery

I can’t believe how the ruffians didn’t rush him after the pistol. Although I would too, be flabbergasted at this man’s arsenal

Technically he did not fail a shot. Even when the bullet missed he killed a dog

Love how confused the police are. They're really like"how are we gonna document this?" "What're we gonna tell the chief?"

Friendly reminder: The founding fathers encouraged citizens arming themselves with the best weaponry they could get to defend themselves against an oppressive government. Translated to modern-day, George Washington would not encourage an American citizen to own 1 tank, he'd encourage everyone to own several.

Absolutely correct. Some wealthy private individuals brought their privately owned cannons to fight in times of war.

I’m picturing a Home Alone inspired movie about a guy that that defends his home like this.
The title could simply be
“As The Founding Fathers Intended”.

I'd honestly get a gatling gun (they did exist when the constitution was written)
Edit: they didn't. But there was an 8-shot revolving cannon called the puckle gun.
Edit 2: chambers pattern naval gun. Can't be reloaded, but just as deadly as a gatling gun.

Some kid legit recited this whole thing in the middle of class because we were talking about the Constitution in class

Technically not impossible to stitch up a triangle hole (just a real pain in the butt process compared to normal stitches).
But it is impossible for me to justify I should stitch up the fool who broke into my house😂
