Curtis Childs is the digital media producer at the Swedenborg Foundation. While obtaining his degree in communication studies from Oakland University, Curtis experienced an internal battle with depression that led him to question God and his lifelong interest in Swedenborgian theology. After a period of intense suffering, he recovered from his depression with the help of modern medicine, therapy, and a return to the spiritually uplifting messages he found in Swedenborg’s writings. Now, Curtis is applying his education and desire to help others find peace through Swedenborg’s insights by producing and hosting weekly webcasts.

"Act proceeds, willing folllows!" That is very encouraging. I sometimes I feel artificial or phony for trying to react to something against me in a charitable way. But once in a while it does feel genuine. The "as of self" at work! What a gift! t's owesome! I try doing that especially with my teenager. He is certainly a source of opportunity!

Ugh!!! I've been in the process of waking up for so long not realizing what was happening to me so all I did was fight and reject it. double thoughts, I’ve had that happen several times. It happens unexpectedly where my thoughts are making me pray, uncontrollably. I can try to stop praying but I can’t. I then get a call that my son was in an accident or my grandma fell and was severely hurt. Its unexplainable but very lovely. It’s heavenly love I feel. I’ve experienced evil which was a very beautiful flight attendant on a flight, I started praying uncontrollably, loudly! Then as the attendant walked by I saw it’s PURE evil. Almost snarling at me while I was uncontrollably praying.
