Because I still get the "maybe you come across as intimidating?" When I literally don't do anything intimidating. I feel like no matter what a girl's personality is yall consider them intimidating. There's a lot to learn from black women. I am not black, but from an ethnic background. I was raised ghetto, but try to transcend this and grew from there, but I had to be a strong women because many people tried to just make me disappear and I also mean in the unalive way just because they hate me for no reason. I still find today no matter what I do, I still get hate, in the most weirdest places where I think I can be vulnerable, like church. I get some people trying to stare me down, put me down, criticize me for just sitting there minding my own business. Trying to include myself and my son into society, trying for him to have a better life. It's like these people have some crazy ideas in their heads on how I am supposed to be. I honestly hate leaving my house having to deal with stupid people all damn day. Thank you for this I will remember it when they start making me feel like I should feel bad about myself!

I’ve been hearing this since I was a child. “You’re intimidating” lol😂 because I’m well spoken, honest, and do my own thing. So many women have said this to me and the #1 commonality with them is that I didn’t kiss their ass and or dim my light for them.

In this day and age, you would think that more people would grasp that we all live different lives. I’m not making myself small in order for someone to feel better about themselves. To those who are intimidated, you should befriend that person so you can learn something from them 😊

I find this interesting. I'm a short Asian person. I'm honest to the point of being blunt. I do mind my own business. I don't see the point of being mean or trying to boss other people around - not in the mood to deal with silent retaliation. Yet I can say the exact same thing this person is saying. I live in the US where bullying is a common thing. So I want to be assertive in order to overall defend against bullying. Somehow other people tell me that I can be intimidating including the person I used to date... Yeah, the world isn't a nice place... so if I appear intimidating to them... maybe they aren't ready to deal with various people problems. Can you imagine dealing with the other kids' parents if your kid gets bullied? If the other kid bullied your kid, chances are very likely that the bully's parents are also bullies too... I can try to improve by smiling more and trying to find better words to use next time... and hopefully that helps me appear more friendly...
