The crazy thing about Christians not reading the Gospels is how short they are. You can literally read a Gospel during a lunch break at work and be done before the end of the week.

No mythology has saved me. Because of Jesus Christ, I have been forgiven. I have been saved I do not do a lot of things I used to do that is considered sin. Those desires have been removed from me . Yes I still have a lot to go & I know I will succeed. My actions, my talk, my walk, my gifts and skills will glorify God and is doing now. I have read the Bible and studied it. It makes complete sense and makes me believe in God even more so. The Bible says there is one true God, and says not to worship any other gods. Tell me how that is paganism. All of those in agreement, who say they read it, can’t even discern what he said to be untrue. Makes me question if you even read the Bible, when it’s very clear on that fact.

I have no idea where you get the idea Christians don't read the Bible. We even read the Church Fathers, which it sounds like you haven't.

I get all the Atheists saying they read the Bible and are atheist. As a Christian who went through a season of low faith, of saying Christ is king but not really believing it, a functionally atheist perspective. I read the Bible again, I began to care about God's opinion of me and I felt disgusting. The sins were made more present and at that point I had to believe in God. And ever since then my biggest reason for God's existence is that I see Him in my life. There are too many times I felt His forgiveness, His grace, and Love, to not trust him with all my heart. The Bible is really, really important, the most important in fact, but a good church really helps to open the Love of God.

I’ve read it through at least 8 times and try to read the New Testament through each month. But the most important thing for me is not just reading it but living it out.
