so i did some digging, that "idol" is actually a movie prop from the movie -Cabiria. which was aired 1914
which is apparently really renowned for being ground breaking and praised by martin scorsese which is an italian made movie hence why it is being displayed over there.

as for moloch as a deity, that's apparently a distorted lie, moloch itself refers to a type of sacrifice and not an actual deity, as in you would be giving moloch, not giving to moloch.
so it's just a modern myth that came about somewhere around the 18-1900's when people really got into the idea of demons which pretty much conjured up this fairytale demon moloch pretty much from nothing.

and so there you go, maybe do some digging before you get a hissy fit.

The description of Moloch being a child sacrifice focussed god comes from the bible....not from actual archaeology evidence. No surrounding cultures suggest such worship traditions occuring. This is a case of early Hebrews demonising those that didn't think their way. The whole coliseum and Christian thing has nothing to do with anything

The reason is simply, for Christ to come down and judge all the livinf and the dead, we mist first be at a point where evil is rampant.
