When we think of Nazi Germany, we think of Hitler, the monster. But there were many wicked doctors and scientists that flourished under his regime that shook the world. The most dangerous of them all was Dr. Josef Mengele.
Our history is filled with pain, horror, and a lot of blood. But seldom do we talk about it. We celebrate the achievements and successes openly. However, the people in power try everything to keep their blunders and the bloodbaths tugged under the rug.
I am always looking for such stories, those fractions of history where someone in power starts thinking of himself as God and ends up doing some really f*cked up things.
We wanted to explore them in-depth and thus, “Dark Blood” was born. It's a new series on Beerbiceps that digs deep into the horrors inflicted by humans on each other and finds out exactly how far we go before we stop.
When we decided to go forward with this, my team and I were not aware of what were we stepping into. The gory details we found, the testimonies we read, left us all horrified.
