I have bought my last 3 vehicles the last week or day of the year with outstanding results, $12, 000 off a new Ram Big Horn Edition (March), $5000 off a new Malibu, $6000 off my Hemi Challenger with 14K miles with 2.99% rate & $9000 off my new Maxima SV. It pays to be patient!

I bought a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon on December 28th, 2015. It was obviously the "old" Jeep on the lot because of the 2016 models available. So they dropped the price just slightly like you are mentioning. The advantage you forgot to mention was the mileage. The Jeep according to resale was a full-year-old even though it was still brand new. This means now that it is 2020 my total mileage for resale is lower than most other 2015 model vehicles.

Damn dude... love the content... ABSOLUTELY HATE DOUBLE ADS EVERY THREE MINUTES... I don’t mind two or three ads in a 15 minute video, but come on man.

Sorry if already mentioned, but the 1 yr older model Year is a lot cheaper when it comes to excise tax.

How about a video about dealers with “no-haggle” pricing?
Is it really “no-haggle”?

Most of this does make some kind of sense. I do agree on the "Do your research" bit on a new car. Look to see if the car is going to get / just went through a redesign or mid cycle refresh and decide for yourself whether spending the extra money to get the brand new model year is worth it. Or compromise and get last year's fully loaded trim (Where you're probably not missing all that much on the new model unless the car's getting a redesign next year)

If you're looking at a last year's model car(As brand new), YOU are the one who usually holds the upper hand on the negotiating side. $1500 off is a starting point, but it depends on what kind of car you're getting too - It makes more sense to start negotiating $1500~2500 off a Toyota Corolla LE that stickers for $20k... Not so much if you're looking to get a luxury car or a pickup truck that stickers for $50k or more - that you probably want to start at more like $3000~5000 off sticker.

It's the same with used cars too. Right now are cars from the previous generation hitting the dealer lots as people turn in their leases? That's usually the sweet spot if you're looking for a good bargain to get a used/certified car that doesn't have too many miles on it - and has already taken the initial depreciation hit. Yeah it's not new - but chances are if you're buying a used/certified car you weren't likely to go out and buy a new car anyways.

DO YOUR RESEARCH!

But Ben...I am in the market for a Tundra and almost wanted the TRD PRO but the price held me back a little while researched more. But at the end of last year I was seeing $5000.00+ off of some TRD Sport models and $4000+ off some Off Road models of the Tundra. I want that same deal but not seeing quite that good of discounts right now across the board. what do you think....I'm buying new because they used Tundra's 1-3 years old are priced too close to the new ones with incentives.

What about employee pricing? I know ram did it in the fall. Also how would special ordering during that time work? Would you get employee pricing at the time you order or does the vehicle need to be delivered?
