Thank you for showing the Hamble so well, most of my childhood was spent messing around on the river with my brother and friends.

Happy New Year! Falmouth was also where Sir Robin Knox-Johnson set off from for his non-stop solo sail around the world.

I agree a beautiful boat congratulations. I am a fan of electrification for marine propulsion. The proliferation of units of all sizes even for large outboards is amazing.

I have an ePro Spirit 1.0 for my Colgate 26 (apx 1180 kg). It can get the boat up to 5.5 kts. I've been using it for about a year and absolutely will be using one on a future dinghy for a future liveaboard. We had a 15hp Mercury on our previous Highfield 310, and it was perfectly fine. But dealing with gasoline was a pain. It was incredibly rare that I ever needed more than harbor speed in that boat, so don't think I'll need that much power in the future either.

We got an electric outboard (Torquedo) on our winter cruise last year. It is absolutely great in relatively flat water and not to long a distance. The ease of getting the electric motor on and off the dinghy makes it much easier! That said, I'm not giving up on my 9.8hp outboard! The electric simply doesn't have anywhere near the powerboat the gas motor. It can't get the dinghy on a plane and if we ever have to anchor in a large and/or rougher anchorage - I want the power and range of my gas motor. But for quick stops and getting Tuxedo to the nearest beach - the Torquedo can't be beat! 😀

Enjoy the ePropulsion - but you may want to have a regular outboard as well! 😉

That dingy will be so great to get closer to wildlife along and in the water, without disturbing them.

Very cool, Gosh I love this boat you have created.
Not sold on going all electric yet... As Canadian I understand you 'Must' Embrace.... (chortle, chortle)
Look forward to your next video's.... Gonna go back and look at some of your older ones in the meantime.
Cheers, have fun, be safe.

electric outboard is wonderful. Sunsail provides them on flotilla. So much easier to lift off the yacht into the tender

I also bought one of those electric outboard motors. While there are pros and cons, my #1 reason was to get gasoline off of the boat. My wife is VERY concerned about fire, and gasoline is something best not had on a boat. And the #2 reason is to not have a mechanical engine to care for and HOPE it starts. I won't miss that anxiety one bit.

Mate, you need to put the loop on the inner bag through the loop on the net.
The inner bag loop will be the one that hooks onto the lug.

My 90lb hard dinghy will perform very well thanks to Sheryl & Pauls demo... Waiting to see the Caribe vid... Apologies I cancelled my subscription... paypal has too many security issues... Waiting to see the DSIV EV performance... Fair Winds...

looking at you blue Bimini cover. did you consider bringing arch top all the way forward as a solid Bimini? more solar real estate, solid long term Bimini, less sunburn. have clear hatches for breeze and to see the sails
