Answering Questions from the comment section. Aaron Brown asked a question on the Car Hacks Face book Page about his 2004 G35 in limp mode. Jenna Grace asked if her G35 had a throttle position sensor reset and ecu reset on Fair Auto Repair YouTube Channel. I explain the problemss and solutions

Sometimes limp mode is the result of a electrical short to power or short to ground issue in your wiring. For instance, I have a Dodge Journey 2.4L and I got the code PO075. That pointed to my transmission solenoid pack, I replaced the TSM and the code was still there with limp mode in place, what it turned out to be was the wiring between my solenoid pack and the computer, long story short I replaced the transmission wire harness and limp mode went away. What I learned in this horrible situation was you have to check your wiring with a multimeter to make sure you have current flowing FIRST !!....Love your videos brother, thank you for your great insights.

Oh yes, one more thing, when you check your codes with your code checker and you have more than one code showing, start your diagnostic with the primary code first, that is your clue to where the problem exist. Don't just throw a part at a problem, you have to check your wiring first with your multimeter, a short to ground or a short to power will cause your computer to throw additional ghost codes because your sensors all rely on one another for information in some form or fashion. Most electrical problems are found in connectors, where wires rub on metal parts causing shorts to ground and breakage resulting in no power to that part, or the wire responsible to sending info back to the computer.
Get a wire diagram which makes it easy to I.D. the wires to be tested and open up the harness to check that wire for problems, dont forget to check wiring harness connectors, they go bad first before the wiring.

I had lent mode from the first start up every now and then it would run right. I'm resetting my battery right now I'll let you know how it goes

Thank you sir alot for this it makes sense now. I have a 1jzgte Cressida and it went in limp mode. I replaced MAF sensor and nothing. issues still their also working on replacing vvt solenoid and 02 sensor but I didn't think about throttle position sensor unit i watch you video. Thank you ill let you know if that was the issue.

I have a 2005 ford freestyle car keeps going into limp mode after stop and go driving recently installed new water pump, new transmission fluid & filter. Limp mode goes on but not everytime it goes away after letting car sit or sometimes after quick restart. Throwing codes about hydrologic system I’m going to try this

I have a 2006 Altima, cars into limp mode jerks around 2k rpms.
When I reset my battery and codes it works perfectly fine.
But comes back and does same thing.

Could that be the Throttle Body?

I'm a new owner of my 04 G35. Runs great but hard to start when warmed up. Runs perfect other than that. I changed my crank and cam sensor. Also fuel guage doesn't work but low fuel lite comes on. No Codes. know what it could be?

My 2016 Scion Im just went into limp mode. I was on a highway. Power just dropped to a snails crawl. Pedal all the way down to the floor.
Got it towed to the Toyota dealer. Will see what code shows.

I have a 2004 chrysler 300 and first the 02 sensor code came up then transmission code( tyranny went into limp mode) and car started then code 0108 came up and my car died and won't start.. so is my fuel pump relay and or engine in limp mode too?

Bro I have a super clean 06 ford sports track. Engine sounds great. But I have a major lack of power I would say 50% power. No codes. I have driven it many miles and no codes pop up. I replaced the tps and maf sensor. Nothing

Can limp mode mess with timing? When car went in to limp mode now we don't have compression in 4 cylinders on opposite banks 2 on 1, 2 on other please help😮

Could a maf, map, tps cause a p0743 electrical issue with torque converter electrical circuit. Could it be a sensor or wire?

Don’t know if you’re answering questions anymore. I been trying to find you on Facebook and reach out I’m having problems with my 2004G 35 coupe. It’s throwing a slip light and VDC off with a check engine light. I’ve been trying to reset the ECU but haven’t had any success. I have no I have done the process right I did along with the video I had my dad do it, he is a mechanic and no luck. Do you think this could possibly be a bad ECU? Would love to hear your feedback.

I have a 2014 Dodge Journey that When we get to the most humid, hot time in STL it throws my ETC light and limp mode, I reset it last time but I’ll be damn if I can find the reset ?
