2011- 323i. The automatic transmission stopped working last night. I pulled up at a traffic light and when the light changed I tried to accelerate and the car would not move. Just before this happened I heard a pop and thought a tire had burst. The car will not go forward or reverse. Had to get the car towed. No warning lights or engine codes and the car was running fine up to the stop light. Any ideas of what the problem could be ?

I replaced my throttle body icv and disa and still have the code 1580…. I’m irritated now any help would be appreciated. Although I don’t expect anyone to reply.

I floored my 98 E36 328i going 0-60 and around 10-15 minutes later my transmission light turns on and the car entered limp mode (I think) and plus whenever I put the car into or out of park, it jerks very hard and the rpms raise and then go back down pretty low (it’s an auto transmission)

relearning via INPA helps drive another 200-300 km, sometimes after oil changed till 1000km, but then error appear again, relearning was done more than 100 times. Has anyone encountered something similar?

My BMW 2005 325xi has code P1635 and code p0341 and it’s been put into limp mode with the fault codes and I’m not sure on how to fix the p1635 code

Hi i have a 2011 bmw 328i and I am currently experiencing limp mode after accidentally touching the live nut/ bolt located in the front of the car and under the hood which is associated to the positive wire causing a spark. Please help. Thank u.

Nice and thorough vid! Just had my 328 go into limp mode and came across your video. My throttle body was sticking shut a bit ( the car doesn't get used much) so I think some cleaner and start there. I had both rubber boots between the mass airflow sensor and the body split too which won't have been helping!

Just curious, shouldn't the throttle body valve open a bit more than that when accelerating?

I haven’t checked but would it still be the pressure, if it acts like it’s pouring gas out faster than I put it in, won’t shift 5–1 won’t drive unless I gas it and aid i floor it the don’t even act like I’m flooring it

Does it matter which pin u connect the alligator clamps? Is there specific side for negative or positive?

Hello i have bmw e46 with eml light problem but the eml and check engine light pops up when engine get working temperature cold engine runs fine without any lights. If you turn off car and turn it again rev it it just go to the limp mode again imediatly.

Im experiencing limp mode as well, but the codes im getting are P0171, P0174, and P0305… lean codes and misfire on cyl 5… wondering if new pre-cat O2 sensor and new MAF will fix it.. any input??

does anyone have idea what could it be with my car it its in limp mode for months, pre supply fuel pressure low (changed pumps) and last week well it cracks but wont start only with starter spray then drives (in limp mode) BMW E39 525d M57 engine

I have a 99 328i and it only goes into limp mode when I put the pedal all the down but once it's into limp mode I have to constantly turn it on and off until it goes away and my check engine light will go completely off and it drives fine certain times. The only thing I could think it could be is battery is done and it can't pull enough power for car to maintain as I've recently got oil change and oil service reset as I thought it was that but nope. Any help is really appreciated 🙏

I just got a 05’ 325i and the trans and engine are brand new, it’s in limp mode as well and only gets up to 3rd gear, any thoughts on that? I’ll be working on it tomorrow
