BIG BIG BIG BIG THUMBS UP! NEVER thought a 21yr old truck would run like brand new after replacing such a small part. Had virtually no acceleration, gear shift was crazy all over the place, idle would be so high at times and so low in cold weather...no codes, live feed on my OBD2 reader was crazy all over the place...and VOILA!!! FIXED and wow does this truck GO!!! It's actually FUN to drive again. THANK YOU! LOVE THIS CHANNEL b/c of the complete explanations of WHY things happen and how to fix 'em. 2003 Chev S10 4.3V6 w/515k miles ORIGINAL ENGINE and STILL running like a champ w/o any major repairs. RARELY have taken this truck to a shop - ALWAYS do my own repairs and lately realizing this particular truck is SO EASY to repair compared to today's vehicles....THANK YOU!!!

Mine was behaving exactly as said. I changed the tps on my Mazda demio 2012 after spending 180 dollars on plugs, service, fuel pump and filter cleaning and throttle cleaning but never worked. Upon changing the tos, am the happiest person alive, car works like new. Thanks for this video.

This video is the best one on TPS problems of all the videos. This guy covers the topic from A to Z! I have been looking at all the videos trying to learn what I can. I glean something new from every video, but this video compiles all that gleaned info into one video plus a ton more info than all of the videos I have watched. 😁

I really like your vids, because it covers long enough -- not too short or too long. And you start with the explanation, the theoretical part, then dive into the symptoms, etc.

Great informative video, i have a 2003 Lexus GS300 which is cable operated and was giving me code P2121 and P2127, i took the Throttle body position sensor off and removed the part of the white plastic from the back after heating it up with heat gun and re-soldered the 4 connectors and glued back the plastic piece after warming it up with heat gun again . I installed it and took it for a test drive, it is holding up so i am not a part changer, i had planned on buying a new one but i decided to attempt to repair it first which i did . The solders on connectors part may crack and lose contacts from age, heat and mechanical wheel, so, i hope this may help others to repair their throttle position sensors .
PS, before i attempt to repair the TPS, i removed the ECU and checked to make sure there is no burned spots on ECU, it looked like brand new after 20 years . Good luck with your projects folks .

Just replaced one on a Hyundai Sonata. The symptoms were the same as when a fuel pump is starting to go out. It would act as if the gas was cut off and it would then go back to normal so it was very jerky. Knowing the car had had rust in the fuel tank in the past I started with by checking the fuel pump... but no, it was the throttle position sensor. Swapping that and the car magically went back to normal.

Thank you!! I had to change out my Nissan rogues blower fan, which required me to remove the peddle assembly. After completion, I had a p2122 code. I used your peddle technique. Problem solved!!!!
