We go hands on with the Leica SL (Typ 601) to test it out. With the new partnership between Leica, Panasonic and Sigma over the L Mount, there is a much larger ecosystem of lenses available for cameras like the Leica SL.

We tested the Leica SL with the Panasonic 50mm f/1.4 S Pro Lens.

Fantastic review. I subscribed. I have had the SL for about two months now, and I absolutely love the handling of this camera. I have had experience with the Sony A7R3, Fuji X-H1, Nikon Z7, and now the Leica SL, and by far this is the best mirrorless camera I've ever felt and used. The Sony had amazing eye focus but too clinical. The Fuji X-H1 had amazing tones but was kinda clunky to use. The Z7 was fantastic but kinda lacked that wow factor for me. The Leica SL gives me the wow factor, great tones, amazing feel, and decent but not great focus (which is okay because I use mostly manual focus lenses). This camera may be 4 years old, but it really has something special about it that makes it hard to put down and hard to want to sell for better tech. Who needs the best tech when this camera feels like elegant butter to use.

With the SL2 rumored to be out later this year it's a good time to sell off the "old" SLs!!!

Does the sl have bracketing exposures? If so what’s it’s limit? +/- 3ev or +/- 5ev?

The lens is gorgeous but do you experience that the battery on SL drains so fast when you attach the Panasonic 50mm lens?

Nice, short review with the panasonic 50mm 1.4 lens. But sorry, when you are not using the the lenshood, take it of and not in the reverse position on the lens. So it looks like a beginner... Use the lenshoot in the right direction: Its the best protection.
