There are soooo many better options to buy for 2000€ that it never really is worth it. I worked in a camera store amd only two people buy leica's. Rich people who collect them, and rich people who can't photograph that good but like the prestige of a leica.

I like that when other brands have weird color science its a bad point, but if it's low hdr weird leica colors then is aesthetic

I have a Leica SL, but the film version. Still a lovely camera, just very different from this one...

Mostly just a statement camera, they’re AF is on par with an a7 iii tbh, I rented out the SL 3 for awhile and didnt live it at all

I owned the SL2-S for a while, and I also had the SL3 for about a month too (for review purposes). Love the SL series of cameras for many many reasons, but the price point is just eye watering 🙃🤣

As the owner of a rather large collection of cameras, including Nikon, Fuji film, Sony, canon, Hasselblad, and of course, Leica. Let me tell you, a Leica is not a camera for beginners. The only reason you should get a Leica is if you want to step up your photography game. They are not simple and intuitive, especially if you shoot SLR or analog (film photography). Btw: if you ever do buy a Leica: get an older film camera, trust me it’s worth learning.

I have a m240 and a 35mm ASPH Summicron lens. The lenses are the most expensive part of any Leica typically. Lucky for me I only shoot in 35mm on it for street photography.

And after 5 years of using a range finder I'm not able to tell you exactly where 1-15 meters is. To within 1/10th of a meter.

So it's actually making me a better electrician as I'm able to guess cable lengths etc

None of the buttons are labelled so you can customize everything and then forget what every button does. Also, mechanical shutter or digital makes no difference…..looking at you Sony A9III 😂

i love leica. i use one of their microscopes in my research lab and i always clench a little when it goes through the initialization process.

18 years editing video and uploading to YT, and I have yet to buy a camera... it's just so much faster to grab the footage I need off the web. Camera companies just can't seem to get it together and make a good camera for under 150 bucks, which is the absolute most I'd ever spend on a camera.
