- EDIT: Everyone will have a different definition of what a system-seller is. For my part it has to be a brand new game built from the ground up for PSVR2. Horizon was supposed to be that game and I found it be kinda meh as gorgeous as it is. I am excited to check out RE8 & No Man's Sky though (I know many are hyped for GT7 but I'm personally not a big racing game guy) and I should've at least mentioned them, but these are not entirely new games. Don't get me wrong, interacting with them in VR definitely makes a difference, but I have played these games and it makes them a bit less fresh (and No Man's Sky VR already exists on other VR platforms). There are definitely exciting and fun looking games coming out overall though, and I'm looking forward to the libray of games getting much richer over time. For now though, me personally, there isn't a game yet that makes me go, "Drop $550 on a PSVR2 right this instant." But those who get it now, you're getting a great VR experience and I think you will enjoy it.
- ORIGINAL: PSVR2 still lacks that must-have system seller game, but the hardware is undeniably impressive and has immense potential as long as Sony and PlayStation support it well.

It really blows that no reviewers had access to RE Village, No Man’s Sky, or Gran Turismo 7 before reviewing the PSVR2. I feel like those are key launch titles that many (myself included) are looking forward to.

Still waiting for a mech pilot VR game, having to reach around and push buttons to launch missiles or flip switches for quick repairs etc. I would be in heaven.

At 12:40 you said you had tracking issues when facing the TV.
Thought you might find it useful to know there's actually a setting that can help with that, 'advanced tracking', or something like that.
What it does is it puts this patterned frame around the game on your TV, which the headset can use to know it should ignore anything it sees over there.
Vastly improves tracking, the trade off is it makes the spectator experience a little worse, but I imagine that's not a big deal for most!

Gran Turismo 7, Resident Evil Village, and No Man's Sky are all system sellers, and are all set to launch with PSVR 2 this week!

Switchback VR looks amazing with the eye tracking mechanics in the gameplay I’ve seen so far I’ve bought Kayak mirage and Resident Evil Village

As someone who has never owned a vr headset before, the slate of games seems more than adequate to me! Mystic just posted a video of the roughly 100+ launch window games and that's more games that I've played in the last 2 years lol

I think for new vr players and people who are already in the ps ecosystem (ie already have or will buy a ps5) the game list is a non-issue.

GT7 is what makes me want to buy one.
I already have a steering wheel setup and feel like this would be absolutely mind-blowing paired with it!
Also Resident Evil Village looks pretty awesome in VR too

Probably the best explained analysis / explanation of the actual hardware I've seen yet on youtube of this device. Nicely done, YongYea. While it's not a device I'm interested in, I appreciate how clearly you explained it.

GT7, Switchback and Village with updated VR gameplay sold me. The thought of getting AAA hybrid games down the road is extremely enticing. Imagine God of War, Spider Man, Wolverine or a Naughty Dog game. I really believe Sony is going to support the hell out of this given you don’t have to compromise you can simply enhance PS5 games

Hopefully they’ll announce a port of Half Life Alyx sooner than later. It would probably be a good holiday title.

Is there some kind of strange conspiracy I'm unaware of? Why are so many reviewers acting like certain games don't exist? Resident Evil Village, Gran Turismo 7, No Man's Sky and others aren't being mentioned at all by reviewers who are making a big point of saying that there aren't many major games for the PSVR2. A quick googling reveals what I'd say is a rather good launch line up and lots of very exciting things on the horizon.
Considering how many reviewers seem to be on this same rather odd page, I have to ask, what's the deal here?

Having previously played PSVR 1 for many years I can say that there are already far more games available this time around. Thank you Sony! I feel like the PSVR 2 was made for the hardcore PSVR community! GT7, Pavlov, Firewall Ultra and the list goes on! All great upcoming games coming to PSVR 2!

THANK YOU. Someone who realistically considers the price and doesn’t just gripe about it

Having a family member on the development team for this headset gave me a little bit of insider information. The issue you mentioned with pulling a rifle reticle up to your face and having the handset limit the movement turned out to be a necessary evil. There is going to be lineups of games in which punching striking and extremely aggressive extremely precise hand gestures will be part of gameplay. While in research and development of human movement during this game when applying the speed players will be moving their arms and hands and future games it was estimated that the human hand can literally explode at these speeds if they were to catch the corner of a wall or a cabinet. The development then shifted to something that could protect the hand while swinging it with the intensity future swordplay and fist fighting games will require. And they went all in there was so many versions of that hand wrap around. I watched videos of test units literally being punched into every material from corners to tables. The testers were doing punching, backhanding, ridge fisting and uppercutting multiple objects from concrete walls to corners of walls corners of coffee tables kitchen cabinets. They spend so much time just punching the hell out of every possible object from every possible angle to get a design that protected the hand but still provided functionality. That's what you hold in your hand right there. So much time and research and minut changes went into that friggin unit it's crazy. I would also say hold off on purchase not only for The limited library but also because by the time there is a decent library there will most likely be a v2.

I’ve been wanting to play Alyx since reviews dropped years ago. Hopefully it will happen. I’m looking forward to GT7, RE Village, and Kayak VR this week when I get my unit.

I think the launch is going to be defined by RE8 and GT7. Looking at RE8 gameplay trailer, it looks top notch and looks even more fun that when playing on the normal flatscreen.

Switchback, Village, GT7 for me are all absolutely worth buying the headset for.

As soon as they announced that GT7 was getting full VR support I went to Best Buy and picked up a PS5 and preordered the PSVR2. I'd say that was a system seller for sure.
