Honestly, this is one of the few places that this OST has been edited in that actually makes sense. Since it was originally used in the Reiner/Bertholdt betrayal, that was a scene filled with immense amounts of emotion.

This is also a betrayal, in a way. It's Armin kind of betraying himself and his own emotions to kill literally thousands of people. And, with the amount of feeling Armin inherited from Bertholdt, it could be seen as a betrayal in the sense that Armin is nuking a place that might feel a little like home to him.

There is something so beautiful about Armin’s titan. I don’t know if it’s the sadness deep in his eyes or the way he is drawn, but there is something beautifully haunting about it.

The lack of OST is what made Armin walking on the ruin so powerful. From everyone, he is the one who want to discover the world the most. Yet, he is the one who is destroying it the most. He is like a cursed god, a *god of destruction.*

This series understands war in a way most war shows and movies never do.
Both sides have justifications, both sides are run by humans who just want to live good lives, and both sides will do horrific things to ensure their future well-being. At least Armin felt the pain of what he was doing, when other would have gloated.
