Rewatching this scene made me realize that Marley probably deliberately chooses kids to become warriors because they are easier to indoctrinate and more dependant

Bertholdt is very precise and careful when using his abilities, this is known especially because he’s the best marksman out of the warriors.
He’s also the least likely to use the power against them, because obviously Marley can’t lose the god of destruction.
And also, he’s the one least likely to have a mental strain because of his abilities, especially one as dangerous as the Colossal. Well yes he suffers too, but when he was a trainee inside the Walls, his classmates said that he handles it better and possibly doesn’t even show remorse.
Oh and yeah, he’s kinda tall too.

Marleyans: We have Female, Armored, Jaw, Warhammer, Beast, and Collosal Titans.

Eldians: We have Eren.

Even though they are from two different worlds, the Eldians and Marleyans call the titans by the exact same names (e.g. armored titan, colossal titan)

Bertholdt Hoover is choosen because he's calm, remember Eren personality his rage can't control his first titan form..
Imagine if Bertholdt have bad personality, 60 meters big boy in rage mode lol, he's calm he can control colossal

Female Titan obviously will always fall in the hands of a woman (Annie)
Armored will always be a phisically strong and straight foward person (Reiner)
Colossal will always be a more pacifist person that will use only when it has to (Berthold, Armin)
Beast will be a high intelect person (Zeke)
Jaw will be a person that's willing to sacrifice themselves for others (Marcel, Ymir and Galliard)
War Hammer is unkown to me since Lara never said much
Cart will be a chill and calm person that can be able to be a long time inside the titan (Pieck)

Finally the Attack Titan, ''No matter the era, this titan kept moving foward, seeking for freedom''
(Krueger, Grisha and Eren).
