I feel like Bertholdt utilizing his titan's natural body heat to produce a shield of steam that counters ODMG gear shows he does have a tactical mindset. Remember that noone in Marley knew that the Paradi Elidans had technology like ODM gear, so Bertholdt developed that defense all on his own.

Colossal Titans are 60m tall because they’re feet are dug 10m into the ground and so the walls are 50m tall.

For the wall titans you might expect then to be 50 meters
50 meters up from the ground
10 meters below the ground

Fact : the wall titans are not 50 meters tall, they are 60, but when they were in the walls, their feet were 10 meters underground

Bertholdt was weak minded but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t brave, and calling armin stronger than him is just not true. Before Mikasa appeared (which he held her off) bertholdt wouldn’t have killed armin. Also Bert uses the colossal way better than armin. I could go on but I don’t want to make this comment long.

What made eren strong as a Colossal Titan is the fact he could fight with his hardening ability when in a 1v1 against armin

Wall Titans are 60m tall too, the same as the Colossal Titans. It's just their feet are buried 10m into the ground (for foundation of the walls), so they stand 50m tall but are actually 60m overall.

Little mistake when discussing the Wall Titans, Eren didn't succeed in wiping out all life outside of the walls, he told Armin that he would only manage to kill 80% before they stopped him
