Great info! Wish I knew all of this 3 years ago when I started. I've not seen such thorough info as yours. It will certainly help new growers.

I love hearing your puppies jingling around in the background!
Vermiculite has helped me a lot with the mold on top and prevent dampening off.

Good informational video. I’m doing everything incorrectly. Damping off is usually what takes my seedlings.

I understand that we need to place a humility dome when we begin germinating the seeds. How should I manage it? Should I slightly open the holes or leave them closed? The process has always confused me. I'm grateful to have discovered your channel. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. 💖

Oct 11 2024. Thank you for sending this to me from another comment in another video! Yes, you are correct, this answered my questions. I now see my mistakes. As always, thank you for the info you give us. You are the best teacher in gardening I watch.

Perfect timing, my seeds are starting to come up - so exciting!! Iam starting flower seeds in a bright corner window with heat mats. My first batch of sprouts are leggy, these are the trailing Nasturtium. The past couple of weeks we've seen more gray days than blue so maybe that is contributing to the reach for light. Thanks Amanda for addressing what to expect after the seeds sprout. Your channel is GROWING!! YEA!!

Wow, this was so incredibly helpful Amanda! I'm in zone 6b & started my lisianthus a few weeks ago. Germination has been really good but you answered so many questions for me. Thank you.

I’ve been growing all my veg starts for over 15 years and just got into cut flowers. I have been enjoy your videos. This came up next after the snapdragon video and figured why not have it play in the background while working.

Excellent info for any new growers out there. There was some good videos but not much when I started.

Keep it up.

Really enjoyed this video. Starting my first round of indoor seeds this weekend. Trying begonia seeds for the first time so we will To adjust keeping the seed trays close too the light I use those produce crates/boxes that you can get free at Costco that come in different sizes and heights. Turn them upside down and they are sturdy. Nothing fancy but it works great:-)
