If you plant dragon fruit from seeds youll have to wait 5 years for your first fruit but if you cut a branch from a plant and plant the branch directly into the dirt, you’ll get fruit that same year and the branch will grow other branches.

I tossed my seeds in a shallow plastic container with soil put the lid on and forgot about it, it became a terrarium and watered itself till i found it again and replanted the sprouts. Cool to know they will sprout in the water though.

THANK YOU for the brevity! Most people making DIY videos want to drone on and on before finally getting to the point. You had one job: giving information. You did it right!

I feel excited to try this and i love how quick the video was. Nice job. Usually they are like 10 minutes long which is hard to watch with two little kids.

Actually it takes alot longer to grow the cactus then the fruit, if you start from seed, so if you already have the cactus then take the trimmings and cut them at the base and replant them, using the trimmings will start the process faster

Ohhhh I never thought to try sprouting them in water! I always went right into soil. I've tried a few times over the last couple years and never had any success beyond the seedling stage, this is the first year I have seedlings growing actual cactus sections! Now I know what to try next time.

You can skip the step with soaking seeds in water. Just put them in soil after rinsing.

I put a slice of the fruit in some potting mix and lightly covered, one week later little sprouts are starting😊.
