I like to think that they didn’t tell us on purpose. Almost like the tutorial or training is rushed so that they can get as many helldivers into combat as quick as possible. They basically teach to heal drop explosives and kill.

I keep my flashlight off. If you're in a area with fog or dust (malevelon creek), the light will refract off the fog and you wont be able to see through your scope very well.

You can also customize your key mapping by assigning different functions to the same key by whether you long hold, quick tap, double tap. Thats one of my favorite features

Imagine using a lmg and you can’t kill a enemy fast enough so you switch to FULLER auto

The game DOES tell you all of this through the Brash Tactics videos on the main deck. You just have to actually pay attention to the game that you are playing.

Try out the rail guns "unsafe" mode

Best fire rate for machine gun is the slowest, still deals a lot of damage but you get to shoot more accurately otherwise you run out of ammo too quick

Keep an eye on the training manual on the loading screen, there is a tip that will actually point you to this feature by saying you can “check the ammunition in your current magazine by holding down reload” (i paraphrased this)

Hey, speaking about people don't telling you how to do things? While holding R, scroll your mouse wheel down to switch your flashlight, scroll it up to switch your scopes, and right click for your fire modes.

They need to add perks to helmets, like scout helmets provide less armor, but offer night vision or thermal options

the tracers also let you know you are running low

For anyone unaware, you can switch to first person aim by aiming down sights and pressing R3. It is a little counter intuitive since that is also the melee button.

I might be crazy but the flashlight seems like it draws enemy attention while you’re being stealthy.
