Ideally if you got a routine that's efficient and keep it the same every time the speed will come with time. It took me several weeks to get my system down but once I got in the same routine I saw the speed starting to come with experience.

Another way to save time on windows or glass doors is to wipe the outside horizontally and the inside vertically, or visa verse. You know immediately which side you smudged/streaked by the way the wipe mark is.

I learned from housekeeping at a hotel, you need a process to your craziness bc it can get crazy sometimes lol but having a certain way of entering rooms and just the little things you do to ensure your work is all that matters, this job is a lot of muscle memory which also comes with time. I recommend if you are just starting try writing what needs to be done on paper or in your notes on your phone, anyway of you attempting is self beneficial and there’s no harm in taking the extra step. You need to push yourself for quality and consistency, as she says time never stops.

I just started working for a cleaning company (first job in the cleaning industry), I’m very detailed and thorough so I produce great results but I’m slower than the others. Today was my second day so I know I will pick things up and get much faster over time but I really want to speed that process up. Thank you for the inspiration.

Well I know why to speed clean, I was looking for some tips that maybe I didn't already know like the S clean on the mirror. Maybe you could help with that? One thing that I have learned that should be obvious is always walk into a room and look at the whole job and then start from top to bottom and from left to right. That way you haven't just cleaned the stove top perfectly and realized that the range above the stove got missed and then it may drop dirt right back down on your clean stove. Or forgetting ceiling fans and cleaning a room to realize that you have to go back and do a fan which makes the dirt fall back on the clean surfaces. Those were the first things that I had to learn....the hard way. Maybe a video with those kinds of tips?

I am very interested in speed cleaning more efficiently. Although I push myself very hard with each job I feel I am not as fast and efficient as I would like. Any more tips Angela?

Tip I learned from someone I use to clean for: when your cleaning a mirror in bathroom and you get that fluff on the top by the light, turn off the light and wipe mirror the heat from the light not being on doesn’t create that fluff

Absolutely impossible to speed clean when the customer has "100 knickknacks, pictures" and that's just in one room. Another customer was the same way. Add on a lot more time if you're bidding houses like this

Yea but sometimes a window doesn't get cleaned after only one wipe... So it is what it is. If you can't afford cleaning, then do it yourself.
