My filipino lemon is 17 years old grows beautiful and MANY lemons, ALL year
My main thing, is to always have the proper NPK, of 6-3-3. That is= 6% Nitrogen, 3% Phosphorous, 3% Potassium.
I hope my comment helps others, grow beautiful fruit trees.
Ps: NPK 5-5-5 will work too!

I understand her husband much better. He is more serious and get to the point. Thank you for sharing vinegar and water to produce more flowers. Beside the wind blow flowers off the tree, But what cause the flowers to drop (baby fruits drop) and loose lots of leaves at most of the top branches. Is it stress? What about half of the tree branch turn yellow. Is it Lack of Fe, Mgso4, or sulfur? Why do some people bury match tip into the ground next to the citrus tree?

My wife and I just finished building our greenhouse and growing lemons and limes along with a bunch of other plants. Came across your channel and instantly subscribed. You guys remind us of ourselves...me a white guy from Philly learning the farm life. My wife a Filipina whose always teaching me the ropes. I'm learning with a lot of laughs along the way. We always say everyone should have a hobby. My wife says one you can share with "your hubby" is even better. I swear it makes our plants grow better with all the love. God bless you guys and keeping making hilarious videos!

My Citrus (Meyer lemon) is 16 now, she has 21 lemons ripening. Very interesting programme. I live in SW France high up, we get very hot summers and 2 / 3 months of intense cold. She comes in at the end of October, plenty of light but less water, and goes out again around May. She is like a pet and is treated accordingly.

if you have citruses family trees that does not bear food, , its easy, , find as much animal waste as you can, ,don't matter what animal, , but i prefer dog or other meat eating animal.. its have more nutrition plant food.. dig out the big area dirt surrounding root, , dump as much your animal waste in there as possible and cover it up, , this works like magic, , also trim off as much as you can on all the old branches and forget it..let the rain take care of rest, guaranteed next season you tree will start fruiting ..

Really very interesting the many reasons of non-flowering. Thank you very much for this video. Last year I've bought special electric lights, so that my citrus-trees get sun for 12 hours a day during the dark times here in Germany. The leave got right green (it was so pale) and now they are flowering very well. After 20th May I can them put into my garden. Greetings

I love your laugh-- reminds me of my mom and myself. Life happens and when you need to laugh, don't hold it back. That's the laugh of loving life even when things don't turn out as you had planned. And thanks for the tips!

Marcelina, I have learned so much from you. Thanks for sharing your plant knowledge. I am a Filipina like you. I live in Western Washington state ZONE 8b. We have mild winters but do get some freezing nights. I am going to try and grow Meyer lemons this year and also Calamansi or Calamondin . More power to your channel.

You

I never knew to water the plant first. I only have a manual ph soil tester with the powder not a spike meter. Thanks for the in-depth tutorial. So helpful❤❤👏🏼👏🏼

Hi I have two plants one Chinese orange and lime.
I use a premix I make for these two plants on a monthly interval.
I add Bonemeal/super phosphate/mustard cake/NPK 15-15-15 ( mainly used to 🍅) and Potash. I make a 100 GM's mix and add 50/50 to it.
The containers are 18 inches and have kept in direct strong sunlight..
The flowering is in abundance..
The 🌞 sun is the key to this growth of this plant.

There are three major types of citrus that fruit differently.
1. Lemons and limes are tropicals and can bloom almost any month of the year. They respond to tropical conditions of wet/dry season cycles. Water your lime tree sparingly for a few weeks, then fertilize and keep it watered properly as you showed and it will probably bloom, unless the temperature is too cold. That is almost the same as getting a bougainvillea to bloom outside the tropics.
2. Temperate mainstream citrus best bloom in late winter or early spring and if they bloom out of season, the fruit usually does not grow properly.
3. Kumquats and their hybrids may bloom later following a warm winter or may repeat blooming.

I live on the Middle Texas coast and my mainstream citrus may fail to bloom in the spring if I don't pick all the fruit from the tree before about the end of January.

If the tree is in a container and is somewhat root bound, and you repot it into a very large pot or barrel, it may go into a vegetative growth phase and skip blooming for quite some time. Go up in container size only one or two size at a time if you need fruit and not plant size.
