This is helpful. I have a potted baby meyer lemon tree that just lost all of its flower buds after I moved it inside for winter. I was feeling like a failure, but now I know what to improve to keep it healthy. Thank you for putting my mind at ease!

Great information. now I can stop stressing out about the fruit drop on my potted Meyer Lemon tree. After three years it's finally established and has a big crop. First year I' battled poor drainage, where it almost died from root rot, - only had two leaves on it., took two years to recover. Third year I battled a leaf mold. Now I'll keep my fingers cross, maybe repot next year.

Hi Chad, Good info. We had a 14 acre Chestnut and Persimmon Orchard in North Florida in the 90's.
It was heartbreaking to knock blooms and baby fruits and nuts off our 1st year trees. But a good lesson to go by.👩‍🌾👍

Super helpful. I treated myself to a crazy expensive australian red finger lime and I’ve kept it alive for a few years now. This is my first season with fruit but it has started dropping leaves (and some fruit) and I’m resisting the urge to panic and overreact. Also about to overwinter my lemon tree and that always makes me nervous. Love this channel and am happy to see how it’s growing!

Your video really helped me to understand what’s happening with my lemon tree and my other citrus ones.. thanks

Thank you so much for posting these! I have a 7 yr old grapefruit tree I’ve raised from a seed. It recently dropped all it’s leaves after a valiant fight against scale bugs. At first look I assumed the worst and began mourning but after watching your videos I’m going to fertilize and water and fingers crossed there will be new growth. 🥺🤞

My tangelo tree flowers like mad, no fruit though. It needs cross pollination and it's a lonely loner, but I love, love, love, making tea with the flowers. They smell lovely too.

I’m excited that I think I will actually get lime and lemons this year..both trees started blooming flowers as soon as I game them a slight trimming..

One mistake a lot of people make for potted citrus is not watering enough in the winter, not watering enough in the winter can prevent the next set of blooms entirely.

My lemon tree dropped all of its baby fruit 2 times. It now has hundreds of flowers again and I’m nervous that they’re going to drop again. Thank you for the helpful video! It’s time to put my lemon tree into the ground and give it fertilizer :)

Omg thank you! I was so happy to see my lemon tree finally growing tiny little lemons. I came out yesterday and just about every single tiny lemon was on the ground, I wanted to cry. 😢
I was trying to figure out what I was doing wrong since it's the first out of all my trees to give fruit. I have an avocado tree and pulmagramtic tree. It's been about tree years and they still haven't given fruit, just growing taller. Help!

Question of fertilizing lemon tree; I would love specific recommendations on what specific product to use and exactly when to apply.

Thanks for sharing. My leaves are going yellow on my potted Meyer lemon, but I think it’s from over watering, not under watering. I fertilised with black magic citrus and fruit fertiliser.

Very interesting, not what I was originally after but a great video all the same. I have a few citrus trees, a marderin, lemon, lime, and a lemonade. A couple of years ago I potted then and moved them to the patio, out of the frost. They’re all heathy but set fruit in the autumn, what do I do, I live in NZ, so it’s autumn now 😁. I assume I should remove the fruit but will it fruit again next spring?

Thank you for sharing your ideas. I have a 5 ft tall sweet grapefruit tree grown from air layering 4 yrs ago. It quit producing fruits after 2 years but it is very healthy green. Next to that tree about 6 ft apart, i have planted a meyer lemons tree grown from air layering. It is tremendously burst and overloaded with flowers and fruits but not too much leaf. I give the same amount of watering and liquid fertilizer every year. What went wrong?

Great to find your videos. Really helpful. My lemon tree is 6 years old and has never been out of the house. I grew it from a seed started under a grow light and now lives permanently in the west facing window. (I should also mention that I'm in Calgary Alberta Canada. ) I had a bout of spider mites this fall and sprayed with Bug B Gone insecticidal soap to get rid of them. Since spaying all the leaves are falling off. I've never had this issue before so I'm a bit concerned that I may have damaged it to the point of killing it. I was just wondering if this is possible or am I just freaking out because the leaves are falling off for the first time.
