My new little Bartlett pear produced 4 fruits last year: I found out the hard way that squirrels will eat pear blossoms! This year I netted it during the bloom period and I've got about 20 pears.

Thank you so much! My apple tree produced a ton last year, and had numerous flowers this year, but only a couple handfuls of fruit came out of it. I now have some tools to try. Feeding it for starters. 😁

Years ago, I had an apple tree that had the same issues as yours Luke. Like yours, it was growing crooked and was under pruned. I straightened it with a post and pruned it heavily and it produced like mad the following year.

I took out an invasive tree root in my raised bed that was stealing nutrients from my cucumbers the last 2 years. When I figured out what was happening, and got rid of that root, and my cucumbers did great this year. What was happening was... a seed fell from a tree next door into my garden, and even though I kept pulling out the tree plant, the root was still under the ground, getting bigger.

Great video. That annoying April snow got us two years in a row, but I need to fertilize too, thanks.

You are the man. I just realized you sold seeds. I will be ordering all my stuff from you. Do you sell fruit trees? Thanks from Louisiana

Though I do not have fruit trees, I did learn something new that I could give information to someone that does.

Where you buy your fruit trees makes a big difference. Big box stores seem to provide inferior fruit trees.

My orange tree was full of white flies one yr, then I bought all the best fertilizer and stuff to take care of bugs. The next year it had many oranges. Then, the freeze came and killed all my citrus. Now, I need to find another orange tree, but I can't find any. Hopefully in the fall I will find some.

I have 2 different apple trees in my yard that I’m so frustrated with I’m think I’m going to cut them down. They have been fruiting for about 5 years but the apples never get bigger then a dime on either tree. I have trimmed, fertilized, and even added a crabapple tree this year to see if it was a pollination issue. They stay that size all year and then by fall both trees get diseased really bad. Think it’s time to make some wood chunks for the smoker.

I have a 20 year old red delicious apple tree that appears healthy except that two branches on opposite sides of the tree have dried up in a matter of weeks. Tree is in a lawn area and gets regular watering. Location is Sandy Utah where we have had extended high temps this summer. I had a similar problem several years ago with a cherry tree with multiple varieties nested to it. I cut back the effected branches but the problem persisted until I just cut down the tree. Any recommendations, I really enjoy your Chanel and have learned a great deal from your vids, keep up the great work

My two Gravenstein apple trees and my Golden Delicious are always extremely prolific, and this year is no exception. However, they all and my Bartlett pear have fire blight. The pear, usually prolific, gave us about 20 pears this year. My plum tree which always produces loads of fruit---zilch this year. But, my area has been under extreme drought for years now and it could be stressed from lack of water.

Pruning sends hormones back down the stems and signals the tree to bear fruit. It’s so important to prune. Think of petunias. If you don’t prune them through the summer you just have leggy seed making plants. Prune throughout the summer and it sends out new shoots with flowers. Not quite the same but very very similar.

I have found that fish hydroslate and kelp. Neptune harvest has a great product. Spray mid April than 2 weeks after pedal fall. 6 oz to gallon mid April. 2 oz to gallon after pedal fall.
