You know what I love about this scene is that Yoda always refers to Anakin as “Young Skywalker” or simply just “Skywalker” yet here he calls him by his own name. It shows how serious this situation is and that Yoda needs to tread carefully

Yoda was probably the worse one to talk to about this situation. because the “train yourself to let go everything you fear to lose” and “miss them do not” is probably what he’s told himself for hundreds of years.

I think Yoda could've articulated it a little better, but there was a lot of truth to what he told Anakin. Our young Jedi needed to learn two very hard truths: (1) his mother's death was not his fault, but the Tusken Raiders alone, and that he did save her by coming to rescue her, and (2) in order to truly love someone, you must learn to let them go, and move on with your life. Padme Amidala was a beautiful woman, and her love for Anakin will never die. But if Anakin was not enough without her, he would never be enough with her. Allowing her to accept the fate that we all must face would complete her love for him forever, in such a way that he would not need to depend on her. He only needed to remember, and she would be there with him.

Ironically, Palpatine planted this seed of doubt by telling him he was ready to become a Jedi Master, only for him to be rejected. Anakin even said here, that the council would never allow him to have a seat as Master in the council.
