Was Yoda really responsible for this tragedy or was it really unavoidable?

Who uses an army created by their enemy? It's ridiculous. Yoda is to blame.

The only thing I blame Yoda for is for not preparing for Anakin's or the Sith's eventual arrival because from what I heard the Jedi had plenty of time to prepare for their arrival but they hoped for the best and ignored these facts when they could have prepared for the Sith's arrival and maybe then they wouldn't have been destroyed because although Yoda was one of the greatest Jedi I still feel he should have prepared Anakin for his training like he did with Luke and prepare for the return of the Sith so if any Sith showed up they would be dealt with immediately

Its definitely Yoda's fault and he admits to it in the Revenge of the Sith novel at the very end when he is on Bail Organas ship. Hes talking to qui gon jin when he says, "my fault this is. Allow the order to change I did not." In other words, he had stuck to the old ways of the jedi order and failed to realized that the order needed to evolve. Just as the Sith order was allowed to change and evolve, the jedi order was stuck training to fight the last war and thus did not allow themselves to adapt and change to the new time period.

I don't blame Windu. He was pretty much just a warrior.

I blame Yoda... If I found out that my enemy made me an army, I would not use it. I would take example from the ancient Jedi's example and withdraw all Jedi from the Republic's service and perhaps even venture out of known space with them.

Some of the more war-like Jedi would likely stick around to fight in the war but I don't think Palpatine's plan was to convert them like Revan managed to, over a millennium ago. Either way, the Jedi order would survive if they did this.

Its not Yoda's fault, nor is it Windu's fault. Its a combination of the jedi council and code of the jedi and the inherent faults taught over generations assuming the Sith were gone and would not return.

The Jedi had the opportunity to expose everything when this one clone (I forgot his name) killed the Jedi prematurely, they just chose not to take this seriously. Also, Yoda had all these visions of dead Jedi, foreshadowing Shaak Ti and Windu's deaths, yet he ignored it. I think they had it coming.

Maybe his good relations with the wookies doomed the jedi... He should've had good relations with Anakin instead.

I would have to say The Jedi Council and Windu are to blame too. They were arrogant

No, you pittiful little being... I was! You forget that everything that has transpired has done so according to my design. _(you read this in my voice)_

I think when Yoda says "...The only path..." He is thinking that if they dismantled the clone army the separatist army would overwhelm them, at this point their only choice was to continue working with the clone army.

Omg, I'm super early for once! I think Yoda may have played a big part, but he's one of the few who also admitted to how wrong they were. Everything played out as it was meant to in the end. Awesome video as always

I think that it was yoda's fault because he had to let the order fall for the sith to fall as well from the last arc of TCW Tv show so he knew that the Jedi were going to fall but he still had to let the Jedi order die

Still remember how Dooku acted surprised after the clones showed up on Genosis.
Well, I guess these are the perks of creating a prequel to already established story, mass of inconsistiencies.

The entire Jedi Council was at fault. True there were some individuals like Yoda whose overconfidence allowed him to be short sighted and Mace was extremely tough on Anakin, but decisions were made in unison by the entire council.

yes. thats why yoda felt so much guilt at the end of the clone wars and ROTS. that he the wisest could be left out in the cold by the force. even after his trial by the priestesses he did nothing. by then he knew whatever he did could not be successful. the clip you showed and explained may be the beginning of yodas realization that they are hopelessly outmatched. at this early point he is still prepared to fight. not yet realizing that the more they fight is the more they will lose. nice vid 👍

Conspiracy - Yoda actually joined the Sith after another test aside from Darth Bane
