How to Talk to Jehovah’s Witnesses About Jesus

Religions like Islam and Jehovah’s Witnesses and don’t believe Jesus is God, but his divinity runs through every thread of the New Testament.

I'm an ex Jehovah's Witness, I was born again, while IN the cult, in 1979. The Lord led me out of the cult in 1992. I've found that asking them the same question a born again believer asked me over 35 years ago works well, and using the mediator issue has brought MANY of them OUT of the cult. The Million Dollar Question is--What would you DO, , if you found out, the Watchtower does NOT AGREE with the bible? WHO would you believe? God or the watchtower?? 1 Timothy 2:5, the Watchtower does Not agree with it, they say Jesus is the mediator ONLY for the 144, 000 anointed. Many JW sincerely believe they are serving God by being in the organization. When we show them the organization *Doesn't* agree with God, these sincere people LEAVE the organization. I've had scores of them leave over this issue. Love your sermons, I've learned SO MUCH from you! God bless you in your ministry! Agape!

That happened to me... They came to our door, we spoke with them. It was not the first time, they came here a few times now. Once I asked if I could pray and they just got off. Now they came back again, but new people. I don`t know but Jehovah`s witnesses just keep appearing in my life (the other day it happened on the train). This guys shows me one of their magazines where it was written: "Will suffering ever end?" to which I replied "Yes!" and then he asked me if I was also a JW, I replied that I wasnt, that I was a baptist. But then I wanted to keep on talking with him and I said: "Jesus already defeated death" and he ignored me, didnt even reply and started showing the magazine to other people near us. Pray for wisdom for me and my husband because they are coming to our door regularly. I prayed to God for them to keep coming in order for us to share the gospel with them and in that day some came. We had no time on that day, but they told they would be back.

Jesus is the way the truth and the life, King of kings Lord of lords
He Is mighty God according to Isaiah nine verse six.
He is God according to Timothy 3v16
He is the great I AM. Do not follow a multibillion pound company, follow Jesus.

Why ASK to pray with them. You do not need their permission. You goal should not be to see them run away, but rather to show them who the real Jesus is. Also, you don't have to close your eyes to pray, and since Jehovah is one of the names of God you could pray "Dear Jehovah I ask that you reveal us through your inerrant Word of God who the real Jesus is. Amen" This video does an excellent presentation in John 1 that Jesus is God. I love it. God loves it. Use it. It's also ok to use John 10, John 20:26-28, Heb 1 and more. But do not get sidetracked on lesser important believes of JFWs like 144, 000 or Armageddon, or the grave vs Hell, or the cross vs stake, or their refusal to take blood transfusions, or their refusal to serve in our military or their refusal to vote. Stay with the #1 most important matter, Who is the Real Jesus.

When attempting to explain to my two children how Jesus and the Holy Spirit are also God,
I told them that my name is Carolyn, but I am also Mom, daughter, sister, wife, aunt, friend...
Maybe that was not the best explanation of how Jesus can be and is also God, but it was enough to cause them to feel comfortable with the concept and move on to other biblical teachings they were learning 🌷

Talked to a guy who was a Jehovah's Witness (at the pool yesterday) and what was scary was that they don't believe Christ was God, which according to 1 John 2:22 seems to be a damnable hersey, so be very careful in dealing with JWs. They say Jesus never claimed to be God. Here is a good rebuttable to them:
Isaiah 9:6 "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, MIGHTY GOD, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Many scholars argue that there should be a comma between the words Wonderful and Counselor which would make Gen 32:30 have a lot more impact. Jacob was wrestingly with a visitor, and Jacob demands the visitor tell him His name and the visitor says, "Why asketh you after my name seeing it is wonderful?" And Jacob responds in Gen 32:30 and says I have seen God face to face and yet have been spared. In Josh 5:15 Joshua finds an interuder in his camp and draws his sword and says are you for us or for our enemies? And the intruder says take off your shoes, youre standing on holy ground. Throughout the Bible whenever people meet angels they either are terrified by them, don't see them at all, or start to worship them and the angels always say dont do that. This "angel" demands it. Guess who He is. When Jesus is arguing with the pharisees, He says Abraham saw My day and rejoiced in it. The pharisees come back and say you are not yet 50 years old and yet you claim to have seen our father Abraham? And Jesus says before Abraham was, "I am", the same words used by God in the burning bush to describe Himself and the pharisees went nuts because of it. Then you have Thomas who after putting his hand in Jesus' side says my Lord and my God.

I'm not a Jehovah's Witness but I have read the bible. I have a question. Christians are suppose to imitate Jesus, right? My question is...Who did Jesus worship? From what I've read, Jesus, as a Jew, worshiped Jehovah. If a Christian worships any other god and not the true one (like the one Jesus did - Jehovah) then they are not Christians ...they are not imitators of Christ.

Just yesterday I had a discussion with a Jehovah’s Witness and they refused this obvious truth it fell apart for them when we went to John 1:1 because in their “translation” they say “in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and was “a” god” I told the guy this throws away the entire Bible because they believe God who throughout scripture forbids devotion to any other “god” besides Himself and is in fact the first commandment- how can a God who claims to be monotheist hang around another god when he forbids this it’s saying God is ok with idolatry-It’s obvious that as said in Genesis 1:26 let US create because God is 1 God in 3 persons of the Godhead- he couldn’t take that simple logic and it’s funny because it contradicts their constant effort to not commit idolatry by not celebrating birthdays or anything else - their whole religion is idol worship of man made gods - needless to say it didn’t go well he resolved we pray to the same god but if not he doesn’t really care as long as he’s lived a good life (even if the Bible says whatever “good” we do on our own to please God is filthy rags) I guess that part of scripture is translated otherwise too 😅 let’s actually pray for these poor people I was also lost just a year ago

First of all know that I have no religion. That being said, if Jesus is same as God, when he died, the world remained without God for few days? I don't wanna argue but it doesen't seem logic at all... And who ressurected him if there was no superior power?
