The mother of all diet advice that you never heard. Thousands of food additives are added to the foods we eat. Even food that is not clearly ultra processed is usually full of either preservatives, emulsifiers, parabens, excitotoxins like msg (monosodium glutamate,) or some other kind of added flavor or color, not to mention the added sugar, salt and fat. Many of these additives have become known as obesogens, because they play a large part in the obesity pandemic going on today. They disrupt our endocrine systems and work together with the added sugar, salt and fat to create highly palatable foods that cause food addiction and symptoms like fatigue, anxiety, poor concentration, IBS, and others, in people who have sensitivities to the chemicals within them.
