And we thought they were unbeatable. This is the juiciest crispiest homemade fried chicken sandwich you may ever eat. Stacked tall with thick-cut homemade dill pickles with a secret ingredient. It's all good things homies.

He posted this on Sunday, which is perfect since Chick-Fl-A isn’t open today. Thank you! 🤤❤️

“Remove your chicken using a spider.” *looks at spider on my wall, you heard the man we gotta do what we gotta do.

I made just the chicken part of this, served it with slaw and elotes salad, and my husband got down on one knee and proposed to me again. We’ve been married for 39 years, that is HOW GOOD this chicken is! That idea of putting a bit of the buttermilk in the flour dredge is brilliant. Thank you Joshua!

As a former CFA employee, I can confirm that yes, the urge to throw up after being so nice all day was real.

I passed by my Local Chick-fil-A in the Portland area and after seeing the lines, I sure you could make this at home faster than getting through the drive through.

“Two lazily placed pickles”

The Chick-fil-A employee that made this sandwich: *looks and points at self in mirror while crying* YOU CAN DO BETTER.

I love that "MAMA" echo at the end. God knows how many times I replay that moment.

Lets just appreciate the fact that Joshua actually cut a tiny piece of pickel for the center, just to comfort his body. Gotta love that man

Me: Can we get Chick-fil-A?
Joshua: No we have Chick-fil-A at home
Me: Sounds good to me 👍🏻

I still laugh thinking about the time they said “yes ma’am” to you at the drive through 😆

as somebody who works at a chick fil a, it is very hard to not lash out at those people who are disrespectful to you for a little mistake like forgetting 1 sauce. i almost feel as if people take advantage of how nice we are. we will always be nice to everybody but please be respectful to those who stand out in the rain and cold just for you to receive that chicken sandwich and fries.

As a Chick-fil-A employee, I speak for almost every employee out there that being nice all day is exhausting. Also, legendary that you posted this on a Sunday

Just made them tonight. Some notes!

-I made half of the flour mixture for the breading and it was still plenty for five thighs (I’ve found that this is the case for a lot of fried foods—the recipe typically calls for too much flour dredge)
-I’ve made Josh’s buns twice before this and they always end up gigantic, which is alright, but this time I opted to make eight buns instead of six and ended up with some more “normal sized” buns. I recommend doing this, but I understand preferring the big ones as well.
-More of a side note, but I don’t have a stand mixer and was able to make these buns by hand (kneading is kind of a pain in the ass but totally worth it). Seriously, even if you’ve never made bread before, I highly recommend giving these a shot
-Toast your damn buns spread with soft butter in a pan. Seriously, a toasted bun is like ten times better than an I untoasted one
-TJ wasn’t lying—those pickles take this to the next level. The MSG is awesome! If you’re having trouble finding it, look for “Accent” which is a brand of MSG that doesn’t say MSG anywhere on the container other than the ingredients list—it can be found in most grocery stores
-I’ve been taking a page out of Kenji’s book and frying in my wok lately, and I can highly recommend it. It uses less oil than something like a dutch oven
-I opted to make Josh’s Chick-Fil-A sauce instead of this mustard-mayo, and I opted to add a bit of cayenne for some heat—I suggest you do the same if you’re going to make this sauce
-Finally, I decided to add a slice of pepperjack cheese to my sandwich, and while unnecessary, it was awesome

Seriously though, give this one a try. It makes a mean fried chicken sandwich.

Every fast food restaurant in Joshua’s town which hasn’t been destroyed yet is literally sweating, just waiting on their day on “but better.”

I finally got around to making this this evening. I didn't do the homemade buns because I have a surplus of Braum's sesame seed buns on hand, nor the pickles because I didn't want pickles. I used a Cain's-style sauce and some smoked gouda. Incredible, thanks for the recipe! Although next time I think I'm going to cut the salt and MSG in half - it's too salty for my taste.
