now THIS is where foldable display technology can be really useful. manufacturers could take the design from DIY Perks' idea and make it into a more streamlined, sleek version. or they can do a design of their own. either way, this is doable.

I really loved this design, the top pannel can be touch screen, so while the lid is close it can perfectly act as a tablet and then it can also act as a secondary screen. Of course if a manufacturer makes it, it will increase thikness of laptop but just about 5mm.

DIY Perks is awesome, he generally does do DIY projects for his personal use, like sound panels, and his desk PC. Definitely recommend his channel to anyone who likes tech and DIY.

Always wanted to see this as a slider. There already was a Thinkpad with a sliding second screen ( Thinkpad W701ds), but it was a 17 inch screen with a slide out 10 inch screen on the right side of the screen. A full size slide up screen was, what i already dreamed of back that day.
