I am not an economist, but I know that the more money we print, the more our dollar is devalued. Her excuse for the job shortage related to fear of covid is ridiculous. Vaccine mandates have caused job loss.

When has the Fed EVER been wrong?
It’s always someone else’s fault.

Why isn't anybody talking about December 3rd. Debt limit anymore? Didn't Yellen herself say this would be A CATASTROPHE?

she just blame the pandemic not the money printing

So we are told to believe that the aggressive money printing of the Federal Reserve is not largely responsible for the inflation we are currently experiencing? That does not pass the smell test.

She’s no better at explaining economics than is Kamala Harris trying to answer what she’d do to fix inflation. (With or without the fake French accent)

Janet has been coached by Biden’s political strategists to put forward the most positive spin on the economy, but she really is a public servant that serves the public interest and the American people. She needs to acknowledge the very real economic pain people are struggling with due to the pandemic; not effectively acknowledging the problems and talking about realistic strategies to address them only further serves to alienate voters. Messaging is not a strategy, political strategists are not effective substitutes for policy strategists that can engage in effective management solutions. Overly generous monetary policy and poor policy supports for lower income households in this pandemic have undermined our ability to get the pandemic under control and secure public confidence in this administration. Really disappointed in Margaret’s interview, I’ve seen her push harder than this for answers and I’m surprised that CBS isn’t giving her more leeway to push for aspects of the economy that are affecting women the most, I thought that was the hole point of having her replace John Dickerson. If she isn’t willing to fight for better interviews, this is really just more political theater that fails to enlighten, educate and empower voters.

I like her, she tells it like it is. Inflation is with us for at least until the second half of next year. In the mean time... ask for a raise, if you're a good worker, now is when your boss will consider it.

Who wants to work when their paycheck is worth half as much a week after they receive it. You would basically have to spend your entire paycheck immediately or else the value, purchasing power, would vanish almost immediately as prices skyrocket quickly.
