Pulling out my five dollars and sixty three cents TODAY I’ll be damned if I have to file a claim for my money!

"We are not going to do that again like in 2008". Two hours later: ALL deposits will be guaranteed". Powell is in a room right now getting read the riot act. Sweating like Nixon.

Market, market, Wall Street's market, their only concern forever.

Economic truth is that depositors would likely to continue running away from banks to higher yielding money market funds and treasuries unless the Fed cut rates. The insolvency crisis continues systemically. Yellen, pls address the core of the problem along with Powell for the economic security of the US

Sounds like Yellen double speak. If you're guaranteeing deposits over $250, 000 you're creating a benefit not currently in the law which will have to be paid for by other banking customers through additional fees.

Silicone Valley Bank - Fractional lending. Why should we be concerned ?
Let me be clear. She doesn't want to tell you why.

PLEASE! Jail ALL those bankers.
Or;
Confiscate ALL that they possess and throw them out to live on the streets.
SAVE the depositors.
This is starting to sound a lot like those corrupt bankers in Lebanon.

Rubbish. Does not answer why regulators had no clue.

Is it just me or does this woman seems to have zero empathy for the state of our country right now?
Is she a public servant or no? I feel like we are bothering her on a Sunday.

Yellen: America's banking system is safe and well capitalized... except that a huge bank just collapsed and people might not get their money back. You might want to bring back the Glass-steagal Act.

This was expected to happen but no measures were taken to prevent it due to greed.

When Government regulators have aspirations, of working in the private sector in the same industries the regulate, then this will, happen over and over.
Government regulators use the public dime as a board to bounce them to more money.
Look at how many ex-officials now work at the same companies they were supposed to over see.
This happens on every level.

People in the Insurance industry run for Insurance Commissioner positions, then protect their own industry at the expense of policy owners.
The change regulations that are supposed to protect us, into regulations that protect their own.

These regulators don’t want to do a thing because they don’t want to be seen in a bad light.

Nothing will happen to the SVB executives who sold shares before their company collapsed.
They’ll get a small fine, that’s easily covered by the stock sale.
