Its only fitting that Neville Longbottom, the other boy in this prophecy, destroyed Nagini, the last horcrux, so that harry potter could kill Voldemort.

I love how the fifth book emphasizes that there are lots of prophecies that aren’t fulfilled, in which people don’t have to act on them and make them come true. Not only do I think it’s a nice and unique element on the usual prophecy theme, but it emphasizes Voldemort’s character as someone threatened by a baby. He was foolish enough to think someone could oppose him when in reality there was nothing special about Harry, only because he marked him as his equal. He fulfilled his own prophecy when he thought he was fixing it.

Actually the reason Harry's scar hurts when Voldemort is near is because it's the piece of Voldemort's soul inside Harry trying to escape through the same wound it entered to rejoin its master's soul.

If Snape hadn't told Voldemort about the prophecy would it not have come true? If Voldemort hadn't killed Harry would the prophecy be deemed useless or would it still happen? So in a way Snape was the reason of Voldemorts downfall by telling him
