Palomar knot the most underrated and under used knot. Never fails and its so simple. You can wrap twice for a double palomar but you won't need to.

number 4 is the palomar knot which i think is the toughest and best one to use. prefer and probably recommend that knot on braided line.

#3 is figure 8 knot....one of the strongest loop knot, mountain climber use it. If it is good enough to hold a human from the cliff, then it should be more than enough to hold a 50pds fish. =)

No.4 Palomar Knot. One of the best knot and really easy to make !

For me, number 3 is the simplest of the bunch. A simple slip knot which you can easily change out and reuse. Quick, easy and strong. Been using it for 40+ years and it's never failed me.

I use a variation of 3 but just a single knot twice and have bin for over 20 years. And never broke even with 30 pound pike. Dont overcomplicate your life with fancy knots.
