The values you are setting on the Set Transition Duration are frames, not seconds, to put 2 seconds you have to set 2:00

how come when i try to do this, the transition only comes on the audiofile thats to the left? and not both files.. I mean its suppose to be a transition between 2 sound clips...

why don't you go simply to Effects, sound transition and the chose what you want to apply? is it different?

It's not a "J Cut"
A "J Cut" (like the name implies) is a cut in the audio, it may be softened by a small dissolve but the point is that it makes the incoming audio start before the vision cut - it pre-empts the cut.
An "L Cut" is the opposite. The outgoing audio continues beyond the video cut.
"J Cuts" are used to pre-empt scene changes and ease the narrative transition.

It doesn't work on Premiere pro 2022. The effect only goes to the left clip.

TYSM this helped me alot i usually make edits on my channel and my teacher saw it because i send it in to the class group and there was soon coming a party in the whole school and each class has to dance and obviously there are song so my teacher asked me to edit these songs into a smooth transition!And this helped me alot TYSM

Those aren't seconds- surely you know 2 seconds is longer than that

This is nothing like a J cut- if the “power” levels were too juxtaposed on your J cut you'd still need to apply the constant power transition.
