I am making over my friend Jamie's powder room in her wellness studio. Jamie's business was forced to close six weeks after COVID19 hit, and it finally re-opening so I'm so excited to makeover her bathroom into a magical, tropical paradise!

You can see the owner is very emotional, not only because she loved the new bathroom but also because I feel she really needed some good in her live right now. With all the investments she did and, as many small businesses, had to close with the pandemic. Such difficult time we are living in... Send love to all of you out there!

Good job, love it!!! may I suggest that you place the battery pack for the neon light on the wall with double sided tape. Electronics are dust & dirt sensitive as well a water could make it's way on the floor. Attaching it to the wall behind the toilet tank would be a lot safer! Thanks for your hard work in helping another small business!

Do: use a piece larger than the wall and trim both top and bottom after it's applied

I didn’t think I’d like the wallpaper, but once it was hung it looks really nice. I think it having the white tile below keeps it from being overwhelming. Great tip to paint the base color at the top when it didn’t reach to the ceiling. 👍

The wallpaper really makes the room. Love the neon sign as well. The mirror is almost camouflaged by the reflection of the paper so maybe a wider trim around the mirror would be an improvement? Maybe not. I defer to your expertise. Seems like the words on the mirror fight the flight of fancy but they are appropriate for her goals for her customers. It is a visually stunning room. Great gift to her!!!

Just such a perfect wallpaper for a business like hers. I think I might have chosen to paint the mirror wall in that harmonizing color instead of using the wallpaper there .... hmmm. But it's just gorgeous as it is.

I LOVE that wallpaper! I just wish the decal was centered at the bottom. Also!! It would be good to include a decal of the store name so if anyone takes a picture there (it's so pretty of course they would!!) it's basically free promo

Whoa! The massage studio owner was BURSTING with joy, made me tear up. This one was a huge win! Yay for spaces that empower women's wellness!! The mirror is lovely and that positive decal! The wall paper could've been too much if it weren't for that half the walls are tiled white so that works. So nice seeing a decorator back out in the world after so much in the world long-distance only. I used to work in massage and really value bodywork so it is pretty amazing to hear some bodywork businesses are opening back up. That's a fun concept, minimal room then when you walk in the bathroom expecting more minimalism all the the bright pattern is a cheerful surprise.

I've done a very similar look in my powder room with a black and green tropical wallpaper and black subway tile. And i love it. My favorite room in the house.

My favorite kind of makeovers are the ones where I second guess choices made and am all “hmmmm nopeeee, don’t use that, don’t put that...” and then I’m SUPER surprised at the end. That wallpaper was that! Love how it came out!

Could you have painted the top edge of the wall a few inches before hanging the wall paper? It just seems like it would be less of a hassle to slap some paint up there, instead of precision painting that small of a space.
