Today I'm finally sharing this EXTREME DIY Bathroom Makeover that I've been working on since October. I wanted to give this old 1970s bathroom an update from the 2020 era. I never thought I'd be able to pull something like this off on a budget but, we did. Shout out to HusBae for helping me 🥰 It was completely DIY and under $500. A COMPLETE BARGAIN!

How has all the paint held up after a year? I have the same bathroom but in blue.

Great job. I like that you kept your fixtures and updated with spray paint.
I will say your bathroom is not from the 70s.

Keeping that 1950s tile was the best decision, even if you would have had the money to tear it out and put something trendy. The black tones down the pink so that it's not all you see. It's the perfect mix of vintage with a touch of modern elegance. Yes, it was tedious labor but taking your time with all that detail is what gives it that extra special something that nobody can quite put their finger on it why it looks so nice. Anyways, be blessed and thank you for sharing.

My first apartment - a long time ago - was in an older home, built in the 1950s, and it had the pink/black tile and old fixtures….though somewhere along the line, someone put in pale blue paneling (ugh, it was sooo ugly) This was a time way before vintage bathrooms became trendy. I didn’t even ask my landlord, I just found a pale pink paint that looked good with the tile and painted the paneling. I loved that bathroom!
