STORE YOUR SPARE TP ON A TOM FORD BOOK.

CLEAN IT! Clean every nook and cranny. Clean those base boards. Don’t just mop the floor. Get that grout sparking. Clean BEHIND the toilet, get all the dust off the toilet plumbing line (you know what I’m talking about). Keep the trash emptied. And get white towels. Moving to all white towels made my bathroom feel so fresh. I tossed or turned into rags all the mismatch towels I’ve collected over the years.

Toilet paper is not a decorative item- I don't care how you stack it.

Bright plastic bottles- hide them. Same for kids bath toys etc. Essentially try to reduce synthetic man made visual elements, and introduce some natural texture.

Clean your glass, tiles and grout. If your sealant is mouldy, replace it.

Replace your towels and bath mat if they are tired.

Get some dimmable wall mounted lighting.

These are all so true. Half the reason hotel bathrooms feel luxurious is that they are clean and only have the bare necessities and those necessities blend in.

I would prefer to say “classy” rather than “expensive”. You can shop around to find bargains in good taste. But to me I’ll live with less classy vs having to refill hand soap

Be mindful about sliding glass doors though! The runners build up gunk like nothing else and in my experience are super annoying to clean, so consider how accessible the nooks an crannies are when picking one out.

Adding a easy to care for plant changed the bathroom.
Also I used a small decanter for my mouthwash. The glass soap dispenser and qtip holder are in a similar style. Real game changers.

Declutter it!
Wash the shower curtain! You can wash the vinyl ones in warm water with a couple of bath towels.
Get towels that match!

I learned that "putting away shampoo, etc" from Marie Kondo and it made all the difference in my shower routine and cleaning. When it's time to scrub the tub, everything's already put away, there's never almost-empty bottles being knocked over, you never forget to grab a new bar of soap and have to do that weird half-in-half-out reach from shower to cupboard, and other than hard water, not much to actually "clean" since nothing's sitting there leaking between uses.

I have tried multiple times to stop using the b&bb scent blast foam soaps and my two boys and all their friends complained that I don’t have the awesome smelling soaps anymore. lol

I cannot part with my Strawberry Poundcake body lotion. I LOATHE more "natural" scents. Those Vanilla and Strawberry 🍓 fragranced products are absolute crowd-pleasers! Thank you for the nevertheless helpful decor insights.

Perfect timing - we’re moving tomorrow and the first job is to replace the bathrooms! Although they are both quite small (by North American standards, at least), I’m determined to have enough storage to be able to hide everything away.

Choose a cloth shower curtain liner, feels more expensive and it can be frequently laundered to keep a fresh look and feeling in the shower.

Another great idea is to NOT use any mass-produced bath mats. Use a nice rug or runner.

Whenever I see a bathroom pic, I scan to see how much storage it has. Storage is everything, and a bath that does not have it is not functional.

Word of caution about those top rolling styles of glass doors!
They have a HUGE gap between the two planes of glass. Causing a fair amount of water getting outside onto the floor.
And unless it comes with the plastic thingy that stops the water, you have to attempt to find one wide enough And cut it around the hardware.
They look pretty in pictures and showrooms but aren’t very practical in reality.
