If the ‘Doomsday’ can’t handle weather, would it be able to fly in the middle of a nuclear exchange or after the initial blast?

A Doomsday plane that can handle any condition except a little windy weather.

Just like the rest of the Russian military recently, it turns out that the “scary” factor of this plane was also a big load of hot air

Russia: "Our plane fly through and survive nuclear blast"

Also Russia: "Sorry, we don't fly today, ...weather is bad for plane flying"
**thinks to self, ...they must have had some BAD weather, considering it's a plane that can survive nukes, ...YIKES!"**

It couldn’t fly because of bad weather, but it will be fine in a nuclear attack? 🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽

Doomsday machine not flown due to bad weather. Not much of a doomsday machine.

The most secured plane in the world Incase of nuclear war. Sad to say they didn't display during victory day because of weather condition.

After what i've seen in Ukraine, as it pertains to the durability and usability of the Russian's equipment, i'd say "maintenance problem" is a darn good, solid bet.

That looks like a real old plane with narrow low bypass engines.

"Sir, we attack at dawn."
'We can't.'
"Why? Because they'll be able to see us?"
'No. Because it's supposed to rain.'

The plane probably runs on TV tubes! 😂

The US has the exact same thing - well, several of them. There's more than one E-4B designated as a doomsday plane. Other nations have them as well. It's nothing unique to Russia.

The "Doomsday" plane can't fly because of the weather.
You can't make this level of comedy up.

It's considered to be a good weather on doomsday, so russians didn't design the plane to be all-weather operation capable.

I'm in Nebraska and whenever we drive by the Lincoln Airport, one of our Doomsday planes is usually taking off, landing, or flying around. I think 2 of them are housed there, because as soon as one takes off, the other one will sit on the runway until it returns. Then it takes off. I made my husband stop the first time we spotted them, so I could take a photo. I wanted a way to identify what they were because they are so enormous. 100% Doomsday planes.

I had to giggle when he said there wasn’t any windows because of a nuclear blast….what about the cock pit? That’s the main room so leave the pilot with windows, but if the pilot goes where are the elite going??!!😬

I'm really glad he drew windows on the side. I've never seen an airplane and couldn't picture one.

It could stop the best missiles in the world but wont stop a flock of birds or debris into engines.
Also ordinary 50cal bullets would be enough anyway

Built in Ukraine years ago, guess who knows the codes to disable the flight and navigation software !
I stand with Ukraine.
