My acceptance rate is 7%, I refuse to run around for 5-10 bucks especially when I notice my lower paying orders people generally don't tip and want more from you like a stop at a gas station, or grocery help.
I notice uber takes generally 50% but can go up to 75%. For example, I got paid $5.47 for a trip, and the passenger showed me they paid $21 dollars.

The wait at airports is insane. You'll wait forever in line just to get sent a bunch of cheap orders.
Cherry picking is the only way to make real money and have less people and safer feeling people in your car.
I've done just over 2k rides. I rideshare in atlanta.

Also, I feel like that's the reason they put the trip radar button there. They send a request right after, so you accidentally accept it. It's a strategic move but it sucks

Yeah I did that on my phone. Uber was crazy taking over my phone. I also got it in my phone so I don’t see the trip radar anymore. You can make money with Uber but in a lot of trips it’s paying less than what the federal government is giving us per mile! 🤦‍♀️

How can they deactivate the driver by cancelling jobs after checking the traffic situation and decide that the trip its not worth the money.Drivers supposed to be independent contractor.Look at french drivers case what happened there.136 drivers won 14 million settlement from uber by arguing they should get paid for car and fuel costs as they depend on uber for the income.

For at least a couple months, Uber would not let me go online without forcing this setting to be on. Shadiest crap ever... Then a few weeks ago I turned it off and it still let me go online. People must have complained about enough to get rid of that junk. Stupid move Uber...

That doesnt work as the app wnt let you go online unless you select allow ontop, ive just tried it

In my market, with Uber eats least you can't turn off "display over other apps". If you turn it off Uber eats won't allow you to go online and prompts you to turn on "display over other apps" before you can go online and drive. Is this the same for everyone ? If I'm touching my phone for any reason, using another delivery app, texting someone etc it automatically accepts and if it's a crap offer I have to cancel

Not a factor if two phones. Giggers should have two phones both active and set to go use one for stuff like texting/calls etc one set to apps AND it's just good business to have a backup phone set to go in our line of work. It has saved me several times.

I don't know about the cancellation rate thing mattering because my cancellation rate is at 16% and my acceptance rate is at 11% BUT, the reason for my high cancellation rate is due to Ubereats and not rideshare. I only do comfort rides, so nine times out of ten, I will accept those, especially if it's more than $10 and meets my mileage payout requirements. The algo knows what i will accept....😜🤣. The only message I've ever received from Uber was that my cancellation rate effects whether I get those special diamond status or whatever it is, but I am not back in high school so I really don't care about that status crap.
