One of my dogs, if you are crying, will plant herself in your lap and lick your face until you stop. It's wonderful for someone with PTSD like me. She's also always the one who is most aware when someone has an infection or something.
And that's without any training (beyond regular stuff). Their instincts are so beautiful to see❤

Thanks for summarizing your dog's tasks and work, it's cool to see someone else with such similar needs :)

You’re so fortunate to have your dog. I have BPD and Bipolar disorder and these service dogs are so in g touch with you, constantly paying attention…
I would love my own buddy to hang out with everyday and maybe help me out a lot ya know.::

I'm training my dog to be one, i have a lot of mental and other disabilities and I especially have extreme anxiety in social situations, I freeze, shake, go all tense, and can't talk, and I'm getting one to help with that and more

Could you possibly talk about using your dog to check rooms or blind corners? I've noticed that I get really jumpy and rely on my dog to know if someone is going to be there, and it helps so much. I would love to expand on this into a task I can ask for (or keep him in a tight heel like I normally would so he doesn't surprise anyone) Thanks for your thoughts!

gosh i want a service dog so bad. I'm owner training my psd prospect, she's a 10 month old japanese spitz. we've been struggling with reactivity since she was 6 months old and it feels like no matter what i do she'll always be this way. I've been doing weekly sessions with a proffessional psd trainer and training her from day 1. It's so scary and discouraging, she's my only shot 😭

My dog just got his certification!!! Oliver needs a great harness but the company does not make suggestions only gives you the patches. Do you know where I can get one like you have? I’m a type one diabetic and have overly high heart rate.
