I was in such a horrible spot. Complete rock bottom. I was a horrible alcoholic with no ambition. Following his advice has changed my life. Nowadays I workout almost every morning, I train jiu jitsu several days a week, I quit smoking cigarettes (after 15 years of smoking) and started running! I quit taking adderall and learned how discipline can replace it at work and it has!! It all started with 20 minute morning walks. Literally! That got the ball rolling. The more momentum I got the more motivated I became to better myself and it’s a night and day difference between me now and me 2 years ago.

I lost 100 lbs and fixed my heart and head. It took 100 little changes to get there. Diet and exercise work!

If you feel secure in your small step, see the ground is safe, then you can build more without it crumbling all the way down at the first sign of trouble. If you are secure in your steps, most you can fall is that last step, not all the way down like à house of cards

"For the individual who is weak in the heart, fearful in heart, be patient with yourself. Perfection comes not in this life, but in the next life.
Don't demand things that are unreasonable, but demand of yourself improvement." - President Russell M. Nelson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Easy to say when every time you do it, the people wishing to keep you down grows exponentially. I've been trying to keep myself going and growing. The only thing I've accomplished is a growing number of people who ant to see me fail and suffer.

To "Mind Upgrading" the person who is behind this compilation of items of advice. Complete your efforts by including a reference to each of the sources from which you took material. That shall be rectitude. And probably should have been an imperative requirement.

Very well edited and I like your including of others like Joe Rogan in this vid, but.. maybe take some time to doublecheck your subtitles? For instance, at 40 seconds it says: 'There's something you could do that you're regarding as trivial, that you could do, that you wouldn't do, that wouldn't result in an actual improvement.' That's not what he's saying, it's actually quite the opposite. Would instead of wouldn't. And hey, hopefully this isn't too small of an upgrade for you?

May Allah guide me, and guide him. Ameen.
I used to love him a lot, actually i still do like him. But he went into politics...so it is what it is. These are the things that divides us

I agree BUT, you should still set a high goal that inspires and scares you a bit. THEN break it down into smaller achievable goals you can hit (micro wins).
