One quick piece of (hopefully!) constructive feedback: I find a lot of reviewers don’t provide more than a surface level NVH readout. Given that you already do the measurements, it might be helpful to include a table to the right with comparable vehicles you’ve tested.

Recently bought a Mazda3 Turbo after watching your review on replay so thank you for such great and consistent content over the years!

I really really like Honda's hybrid system. The fact that this Clarity gets practically the same amount of power in electric mode as in hybrid mode is one of the major reasons we got this car vs a Prius or RAV4 Prime.

I had planned to buy the new Touring - but it seems like Honda just went too cheap on a $40k car... I was hoping for AWD. Also, no heated steering wheel, no laminated glass, one seat back pocket? The CRV weighs 400 lbs more, has AWD, laminated glass, and heated steering wheel - yet costs the same??? Is it just me or are others confused by the missing content. $40k is real money and a person can get something much nicer (ES350 no markups now and still have sweet v6 option - and trust me they even include two seat back pockets) if they find a car one year old. I say this as a life long honda fan boy!!
Looks like my shopping continues...

Thanks for another awesome review, all the technical details are great (like describing how the transmission is a 2-motor serial hybrid with lockup mode) and how you show there is no spare tire (but a place to put one) is so appreciated!

Good job honda. Simple family car that gets good mpgs . Not worried about going fast its a family car. Got a muscle car for speed, truck for hauling, accord for the family and getting around town .

Picked up the base Sport Hybrid last month and have put on about 800 miles or so. It's my first time owning a Honda, overall have been happy with the purchase. Has been plenty powerful for my needs and the overall drive experience has been great to this point. Few things to note, though. The gas mileage advertised compared to what I've been getting is night and day. I've been averaging around 35mpg city compared to the advertised 46. On the flipside however, I have been averaging close to 52mpg highway, compared to the 42mpg they rated. I expected some variance there, but just seems way off in either direction. Wireless Android Auto has been a great feature, although it has bugged out a few times. The lack of a charging pad is a bit of a bummer, but not a major inconvenience.

If you are a neat freak and hate fingerprints, the piano black accents in the car will drive you crazy. Really don't understand why they (or any manufacturer) continues to use that material. Not only does it look and feel cheap, but they decided to place it around area's you'll naturally touch (near the start button, shifter, and base of the steering wheel).

Lastly, it is a shame that this car isn't a plug in hybrid. The more I drive the car, the more it kinda feels this was meant to be an EV, but they decided to make it an ICE Hybrid at the last moment. It's one of those feelings that only makes sense once you actually get behind the wheel. But, at the end of the day it is still a great sedan, very easy to recommend.

The Sonata hybrid doesn’t have a 1.6 turbo. It has a NA 2.0 just like the Accord. While mine doesn’t meet EPA ratings either, I am very happy with the Sonata’s features and refinement.

Only Alex touches on the fact that there is room for a spare tire. I'm sad to see the 2.0T go, but the Accord Touring will still probably be my go to if my TSX V6 ever dies on me.

BTW, Alex mentioned the center vents not closing. Most Japanese car brands, apart from Lexus and Infiniti, don't make cars with closing center vents. I always found that super annoying. My TSX has closing center vents, which is one of the reasons I bought it over the TL.

Alex, no full scores, when will you put full scores ?

Looks like a Ford if Ford still made sedans.

Finally someone mentions how it’s going to be harder to clean near the vents. I thought I was the only one thinking about that.

Everyone who is watching this, please go on honda's website on your own and notice how every single actually good feature is locked behind a price tag of 37K+. Anything bellow the touring is pretty much base, its so bare bones it makes a corolla look loaded.

I will say this: As a Honda buyer, If Toyota still has their Camry TRD 300hp V6 models, then I’m never going to look back at the pitiful 192hp 1.5T Accord and this 206hp hybrid. I loved the older 278hp 2017 V6 Honda Accord’s and even the 252hp 2018 2.0T Accords that used to win drag races against Ecoboom Mustangs; but if this pitiful 192hp is all they got that’s not a hybrid, then I am no longer on the market for an Accord, and the Accord is dead to me.
I understand that not enough people bought these higher hp products, but it’s just sad to see the performance options of V6, V8, and 2.0T disappearing.

‏Thanks for the great review, in your opinion what is the best color on the Honda Accord?

I always appreciate how Alex remembers the passenger seat. My wife appreciates it. :)

I got rid of my 2019 Honda Accord because it sat too low. I don't think anybody does a better job of car reviews than Alex on Autos!

I am 6'5" and found lots of headroom in this, even with a sunroof. The front seat as a lot of height adjustment.

I have the current 10th generation Touring trim Accord. I feel it's quite a bummer not having the heated steering wheel compared to the Canada version. Also, the memory seats don't link the side mirror positions, which is kind of useless. I'm not sure if this has been improved with the 11th gen, or they are still upselling that feature to the Acura brand, but I think it would be an important piece of info to note for later reviews.

Front end reminds me of a 2013 Ford Taurus

I have read on consumer reports that the hybrid drivers seat is uncomfortable. That was the sport hybrid. Here's what they had to say. "The front seats are the car’s biggest letdown: The bottom cushion’s shape makes it feel like you’re sitting in a hole, and the thin padding loses support quickly, compromising comfort on even moderately long drives." Is that also true of the touring model?
