I got pregnant 4 months during my treatment. I was advised to have an abortion I did 20 scans I was told she had no fingers cleft palate. I still refused she is now 14 years old and is perfect, no abnormalities. The scans were all lies. The only problem I am having with her is her rude attitude, and she is ostentatious

I’ve been using tretinoin for 20 years already and I assure you I don’t have any health issues from it! Plus my skin looks amazing

Been using Retin A since about 23 yrs of age and now 38. I stopped during my 3 pregnancies but always resumed after breastfeeding. My last pregnancy at 35 was really stressful and I got my first wrinkle on my forehead and was shocked to see it disappear after resuming retin a. I don’t even know how long it took before it went away but the fact that it did speaks to how good this stuff is. And I don’t use it for anti aging. I use it for acne. And in general I don’t think I look anywhere close to almost being 40.

I started retin A at 18 and I am 61. When I was 18 the tube was huge and $40 and prescribed for cystic acne
It works great for that! When I hit 40 I noticed my skin looked youthful so I've kept using it despite the tiny tube and $100 price tag!

I just wanted to share that today I went out to run errands, and a gorgeous, incredibly well-put-together woman stopped to compliment my skin. This may sound ridiculous to some, however until very recently it was my most significant insecurity. I am covered in painful psoriasis, which a stranger would never know, and really struggled with acne scarring, sun damage due to a lack of education a few year's ago when beginning to use actives, and mental health issues as a result. My skin is completely transformed now, and Tretinoin has done the heavy lifting (sunscreen too). I learned of the importance of SPF directly from Andrea two year's ago, and have since ensured my kid's have basic routines implemented. All that to say, thank you sincerely.

My son uses Twyneo, which is 0.1% tretinoin & 3% benzoyl peroxide. His dermatologist said it's a slow release tretinoin so the side effects are lessened. He seems to tolerate it really well.

I've been using tretinoin for years now i even use it under my eyes without irritation, i combine it with lipikar balm at night and during the day before i put my sunscreen i use cicaplast, so far this is the routine that worked best for my skin with great results

Thank you, Andrea, for being the voice of reason. I know I'm not alone in my trust in your well researched information. I'm glad you noted that the VA study didn't address the participant's manner of death. That was the first question I had. I know Viet Nam veterans whose skin shows the negative effects of Agent Orange and other vets from other conflicts with a host of health issues, as well. As soon as I was able, I watched this video for the facts. Thanks again!! XXOO ❤

I have a PhD in Family and Human Development. I have spent all my career--including my training--learning to better consume and conduct scientific research. All this to say, Dr. Dray is here going through a peer-reviewed published study in a dermatology journal, and going through it as the trained scientist she is (I recall she has both a PhD and an MD) for her audience. I certainly applaud her for really democratizing the findings of those in the ivory tower.

I promise, she is bringing research findings as they advance with the same critical eye of a trained scientist in a very accessible way. This woman is truly amazing and, on a personal note, of all the "influencers" she is the one that has had a true and palpable impact on the health of my skin and even on that of my family (including my teenage cousin who, at 16, was suffering from dry skin from chemotherapy). And for that, I am genuinely grateful for Dr. Dray!

I'm loving how deep we're going with the science lately, so here for it!

I love Dr. Greger, he and his team are experts at looking at studies and explaining things for us - however I do agree that instead of only saying 'it is banned in cosmetic products (you buy in a store)' and ending there, they should've also mentioned it is available as prescription only.

Excellent critique. I love Dr. Greger, but was very skeptical about the VA study. I am glad you looked into it. Meanwhile, my dermatologist in France prescribes tretinoin at about $15 a tube.

I’m 65 y.o. and have used tretinoin since I turned 40. No problems and great skin.

Great video explaining this study’s findings. I was concerned about this as I follow nutrition facts for health information and learned about this study. I have not used tretinoin in the past because of this. However, I’ve followed other dermatologist’s who have used it for many years, even decades, and remained ‘alive’ doing so. Thank you for shedding some light on this very important issue!

Phew! You had me worried there for a second thinking Tretinoin was going to get banned! I’ve heard of the study mentioned by Dr. Greger and I still continue to use the product. It’s worked wonders for me. I’m not worried and will continue to use for the rest of my life.

I’m not sure if it causes death, but after using tretinoin for many years it started causing me severe headaches, neck pain/stiffness and back pain….I’ve tried many times and yes, it is caused by the tretinoin…even retinol after a week or so. So I’ve given up on using it. I use peptides, glycolic acid, and all the other things. Hydration, ceramides, and peptides and have made my skin look pretty good. I feel healthier not using tretinoin. Just my experience. Drs are very hesitant to admit to negative side effects. I know it can cause intercranial hypertension based on one paper in medical journal. Not everything is good for everyone.

I’m so glad you saw this and did a video for us. I saw this last week and was shocked at the end. It scared me because I just started using Tretinon.

Isn't it more important to note that in the hundreds of other studies looking at the effects of tretinoin, an increase in death of participants was not an outcome? Sounds like that study was an anomaly.
