I was an avid tanner in the 90s all year around. I suffered a skin cancer removed and major skin damage. This was at 25 i stopped all sun, became bestfriends with sunscreen and got on tretinoin. Now im 40 yrs old. Ive been on tret continuously for 15 yrs no breaks. I have thick, plump, even toned wrinkle free skin. I get compliments all the time on my skin and not looking my age. I tribute it all to tret. I will use it until my last days, maybe throw a tube in my casket for the afterlife. Thats how much i love it.

If this guy was right about the fat loss, then I think we’d all be spreading it on our butts and thighs.

Tretinoin improved my skin quickly. I had to back off this winter because of excess dryness, but I didn't stop using it, I just decreased the frequency and added a better moisturizer. Thanks, Dr. Dray.

As someone who is on tretinoin I am glad I sat through probably the longest YouTube video I have ever sat to involving a person speaking. The way you dissolved the medical misinformation was just so top tier and we so need more of
Thank you!!! After a month of adjustment hell I was so scared it was for nothing but at the 2 month mark I’m starting to see the benefits.

I missed this controversy the first time around and just watched the two Honest Channel videos and wow, he really thought thinning down elastosis is a bad thing! 🤦🏻‍♀ In the second video he says there's no evidence of elastosis, right after the word "elastosis" in the paper was on screen a few minutes earlier. Then he starts equating procollagen with collagen. So much for his "on-the-job scientific training"...

I hate 'experts' like these. Thanks Dr. Dray for calling out the misinformation in this video.

It doesn’t. I have used it over 40 years and the first thing anyone says to me is, you have beautiful skin. These are people who have known me over 15 years and haven’t seen me for a few years. I started using it at 20. It came from Europe and I don’t go in the Sun. I should have said people recognize my skin isn’t aging at the same rate as their own. It’s not like getting a face lift and losing your uniqueness it really helps you age beautifully. I also exercise and keep my weight in check.

I started using tretinoin when I was 49, I am now 54. My skin looks so much better than it did when I was 49. No thinning of my skin. No loss of elasticity. My sunspots have disappeared or lessened. This guy is crazy.

I've been using Retin-A for 15 years and my skin is great! Thank you for making this video. I'm so sick of people trying to scare us about every damn thing!

My dad used retin A throughout his 70s and 80s. He would get so many compliments on how baby smooth his skin looked. I started using it about 8-9 months ago, and initially my melasma looked worse and skin looked very dry and irritated, but I think now with greater tolerance it’s starting to get better.

I started Retin-A way back when it was only prescribed for acne. I was in my early 20s with chronic adult acne and I will soon turn 71 and have continued with prescription trentinoin all these years, even after the acne phase stopped. My skin is in great shape and I am often complemented on it and have very few wrinkles.

I’m so tired of people picking out information that they like and ignoring the rest, as if there isn’t a larger picture with all of the data! Thanks for clarifying this for us!

Yes, I saw that. He is selling a cream and wants the millions of tretinoin users to switch to his product. Even so, I did see the video a couple of weeks ago and was a little unsettled by it. Thank you so much for your reassuring response. I have followed you for several years and trust you to present good, relevant studies to fully back what you say. Love you Dr Dray xx

I've been using Retin A for about 8 years and it's made a huge difference to the condition of my skin. In addition to my face I also put it on my upper back as far as I can reach over my shoulder (for spots) and my husband commented that he could see a marked difference in sun spots between the upper part of my back and the lower; the lower having far more marks as I had not applied Retin A. My skin in now smooth and clear and I should add that I now only use Mineral sun screens and moisturisers without perfume (thanks to Dr. Dray's postings) as my skin is slightly more sensitive. It's a game changer!

I’ve been on 1% tret for 10 years. No fat loss in face for me and my skin is amazing at 48. No static wrinkles

my report is purely anecdotal but in the 2 yrs i’ve been using tretinoin, my face skin feels very robust, plump, healthy and the tone much more even than before i started. i say this, however, in relation to the COMPREHENSIVE skin care routine i have been following, which includes hyaluronic acid, ceramides, anti oxidant ingredients and of course consistent SPF.
thanks so much for your input Dr. Dray, i definitely trust your word on all things skincare. happy thursday 🌸

It really does take someone special to be able to accurately read and interpret data from studies and be able to communicate it in a way that makes sense to people outside of the research community; we're very lucky to have you Dr. Dray

This is why Dr. Dray is my favorite. I LOVE research and I have so much respect for how she breaks down studies and data in digestible ways that we can understand without compromising the integrity of the research or science overall.

Tretinoin has completely transformed my skin! So much that I've pretty much eliminated foundation from my makeup routine because I. Just. Don't. Need. It🙌🏼💯

I’ve used Retin A for decades and have had no issues. I constantly get compliments on my skin and compared to my friends who have not used there is a significant difference in pore size, wrinkles and general health of the skin. Best thing I ever used along with sunscreen to keep my skin looking good even at 71!!
