Just replaced the screen on my wife’s MacBook Pro referencing this video. Really excellent instruction. The only thing that would’ve made the video better is a list of bits needed in the description. I wasn’t really prepared for how tiny some of these screws were. If I didn’t have a powerful magnifying glass/light combo this would’ve taken me a lot longer to complete. Thank you for doing this.

Amazing. My screen replacement worked. Thanks so much! This was an excellent video. The encouraging words to be patient and to be in a good state of mind were invaluable. Partly because my 0.8 Pentalobe screwdriver was too cheap and the last screw on the WiFi antenna was stubborn (or Apple installed it a very slight angle?). I ended up leaving the last screw in there since the rest of the components were able to maneuver around it to get the display swapped out.

In case it helps anyone, I bought the replacement display for $135 on eBay at the end of Dec 2024.

I really liked the video and I was able to change my screen in about an hour and a half.
I have a few suggestions to help out the first timers.
1. Tell people at the beginning of the video what tools they are going to need and the links if they don’t have them.
2. During disassembly tell people what size bit they need to use on the different screws. They are very small and you can spend a lot of time trying to figure it out.
3. During re assembly show and or describe which screw size you are putting back and what size bit it takes.
I think these additional steps will really help people to get the repairs done faster and with less difficulty.
