I thought a reflex arc was where the electrical impulses don't go all the way to the brain, but only travel to the spinal chord via the sensory neurone and then sent straight back to the iris muscles via the motor neurone?

I don't understand why the lens gets thinner when ciliary muscles relax? Surely it should get thicker because they are no longer holding it taught i.e. thin?
