Discipline & setting limits can be tricky.

On one end, we want to curb the misbehavior and increase cooperation with our toddler or preschooler but we also want to do so in a way that’s respectful and cuts back on the tears and tantrums.

Really, this comes down to TWO big things:
Managing our expectations of our child and making sure our expectations are aligned with their developmental level
Coming from the understanding that all feelings are valid (both our child's and our own). There's really no such thing as "bad" feelings. They just are what they are.

But this is much harder said than done so I want to walk you through this process.

In this week's video, I’m going to share practical tips to help you avoid tantrums after setting limits.

Specifically, you'll learn:
✔What are age-appropriate expectations for toddlers and preschoolers
✔5 critical elements of respectful discipline and boundaries (and why they're so important)
✔Step by step what to do when you need to discipline/set a limit and exactly how to get through the difficult moments

I truly appreciate this AND I feel like I need to quit my job and just focus on parenting bc of how difficult it is to do this well.

You are beautiful and your content is so on point and helpful. I know for me it helps me to absorb info when I see visual examples while someone is speaking. Have you considered cutting away and adding more visuals to your editing process to give your vids more texture and versatility? I think subscribers who are visual learners like me might appreciate it. I tend to zone out bit.

I'm struggling man. I have a 2 y.o and newborn under 15 days old and i feel my oldest screams all day. I feel so tired and starting to feel angry. I'm saying things I dont want to say to him and yelling at him. My partner is no help and gets angry too which forces me to calm all the way down. I just dont know what to do. He's not in daycare and maybe thats what i need to incorporate. He's so linked to me and I dont have space to breath. He doesn't want anyone when I'm around. I feel like i give attention but i guess its not enough. Idk I feel like a horrible mother. I'm so overwhelmed 😫 😭

Hi, i love your videos. I hope you see this. Could you do a video about how to react if a small kid with no money allowance breaks in a tantrum something such as an ipad. What is enough to teach consequences without going too far or not doing enough? When they break something even smaller such as a doll, would you replace it? When is it Ok to do it? Thank you!! You are awesome

At what age do you start this? After baby hits 1 year old? I’m noticing my 9 month old is starting to have “tantrums” when I walk away from him or take away something dangerous….do I just give him what he wants for now? (Obviously not the dangerous stuff)
