That was amazing underwater footage, Gabe. Your sons are little sweethearts! I am a single mom. Have been since my daughter was 1yo and now she has just moved away last month for college. She's been cooking, doing laundry, cleaning, mowing lawns, shovelling snow and many other things since she's been big enough to manage them. I have absolutely no worries about her being out in the world on her own. I miss her like crazy, but I'm not worried. My niece on the other hand (same age), was staying with us last summer. I had washed the bedding but not put the sheets back on, so I told her to go ahead and make up her bed. She managed the pillow cases, but I was floored when she asked me why there were two sheets! She honestly thought that the fitted and flat sheet were all one piece and had no idea how to put the fitted sheet on. She actually asked me "which end is the top?" 🤣. I laugh about it, but only because she's family. Otherwise I'd be shaking my head and rolling my eyes, haha. It was sad! Now she's on her own going to university this year and my daughter (who is in the same city as her now) told me the other day that she's had 4 phone calls from her cousin in one week asking her "crazy questions". You don't do your kids any favours if you don't teach them how to be independent.

Gabe... you are an inspiration to all the Dad's out there...single Dad's or not. While it's important to teach your kids all the life lessons that you do so naturally, your kids just think they are spending time with their Dad..that's the beautiful part.
